So I have spent around 2 years trying to decide on a custom set. Toyed with so many possibilities. For some reason, I really like the 212+ look.

It starts with a T25 chip up to T5000
I am planning on around 1000 chips give or take.

1) I like the first picture best. The T5k is the hardest for me to plan out. I think I also like the gray T25 with green spots in the second picture...but I get lost with colors having more gray in the first pic. What would you change? Which do you think would look better? Maybe you have an idea for totally different combo. I do have a sample set of colors so I have played with it a bit.

Any thoughts would be nice. I am picturing a simple black inlay similar to JACK chips. I think they look slick.

2) In your opinion who is the best person to help design the inlay?

3) I'm willing to commit to around 1000 chips. Best breakdown of chips?

I think I like the 1st green for a 25, the 2nd dark blue for 100, the 2nd 500, 1k are the same, and then the white 5k. (Flags are pretty iconic 5k chips - that Imperial Blue looks a little teal-ish, but it fits!)

As far as breakdown - what kind of stuff are you doing? How many players?

So I would be using it for tournament style. I have talked about playing with some coworkers ...probably about 5 of us right now but I want to have enough that I can grow and have enough chips.

The chips you recommended have duplicate edge spots. Is that usually seen as a problem?

Which ones are the same? I see Dayglo Peach and Dayglo Saturn...

Oh, the 500 has light green and the 25 is light green base. You could adjust one of the greens by a shade or two, i suppose!

In truth, I want enough chips for up to 30 people. I heard 900 to 1000 is usually recommended.

Okay, for a 30 person (3 tables x 10) tournament, 900-1000 chips is about right. Below is an exercise in a reasonable minimum number of chips to get.

For argument's sake, let's assume a base T25, T10K tournament
At 12/12/5/6 starting stacks for 20 persons (2 tables), you need 240/240/100/120 (700 chips)
At 8/8/6/6 starting stacks for 30 persons (3 tables), yo need 240/240/180/180 (840 chips), which is only 140 more chips than previous
The balance of 900 or 1000 you can use to cover damage/losses, and for colour-ups, and for rebuys with a T5K denom.
Don't forget bounty and rebuy chips if you're into that sort of thing. Can still keep it at 1000 total, I'm sure.
