Hey guys/gals,

I just placed an order for ten custom 20th Century dealer buttons, to be produced on the 63mm Protech blank by GOCC (artwork by p5woody, thank you sir!).

I only need four of these (minimum order = 10), so I'm offering the other six buttons to interested PCF members. Two are already reserved for designer p5woody and Jeff (who always wants a dealer button for his collection), but the other four are up for grabs to whoever posts first.

EDIT: Peer pressure has forced me to open this up to 10 additional dealer buttons. Get your pledges in now, I will close ordering Friday afternoon 21-Aug.

Price to be determined, but it will be at my actual cost ($2.13 each plus prorated shipping to me) plus actual shipping costs to you --- I'm estimating the total cost at around $5.75 shipped to you, but it may vary up or down a tad.

I don't need the funds until I've actually received the buttons and am ready to ship -- so I will just send collection notices and get shipping addresses once everything's packaged up and ready to go.

Here is the submitted artwork:

Are those two different molds? 1's lcv and the 5's scv? Is this a fantasy set?

Paulson was never very strict about which mold cups were used for orders; there are actually many examples of casino chips with SCV on one side and LCV on the other.

20th Century are a fantasy/tribute set, heavyweight leaded Pauslons from long ago. I have racks of both molds in $1, $5, $25, and $100 denominations.

Great job @p5woody! Did you manage to find that font somewhere? I feel like there should be an easier way to do that. Some kind of google reverse image search for fonts.

Two different molds on the same individual chip?

Yep. LCV cup used on one side, SCV cup on the other.

My Highway 9 chips are like that too. Some are LCV, on both sides, some are mixed LCV/SCV on each side.

I had an extreme OCD moment a few years back and separated out all the mixed LCV/SCV chips, sold them off, and only kept a complete set of LCV chips. I've since added 4 racks of $5 chips, which I'm sure have a mix of the molds in there, but I'm over it now :)

Matching fonts is always a pain in the ass. I took a chance and tried one of the Century fonts for the letters and it matched pretty close. I had to hunt around for the number font because it did not match the century font I choose. I then did a 3-D effect on the font and created something that matches the look of the chips.

Nice. For the Garden City font, I gave up looking and just traced the thing with bezier curves. You need a really good scan though, and you're out of luck creating new text. It'd be easier if Inkscape had more constraints available for symmetry and dimensional equality.

Great dealer button! I've never seen anything on the GOCC 63mm dealer button. What made you decide to use it?

Okay, I'll open this up to 10 more dealer buttons, provided GOCC will let me increase my already-confirmed order. Gonna close it down Friday afternoon, so get your pledges in soon.

Seven buttons left as of this post.

Dave, I have a sample of the Nine Dragon chips but not the dealer button. Would you mind bringing it next month for me to look at? I have an eventual ceramic project on the shelf and I'd love to take a look at the GOCC db.

Last chance to reserve a 20th Century dealer button. Only ordering as many as are presold. Thanks!
