Tourney 20k T100 starting stack question (1 Viewer)

Hi,
I'm working on finishing a set to accommodate up to 20 person tournaments, and am currently deciding whether to buy enough extra 500 chips.to.go 10/6/6/2, or keep it at 10/4/7/2, with the 100, 500, 1k, 5k chips. I currently have 140 100's, 80 500's, 140 1k and 60 5k. I am getting the additional 60 100s and 25 more 25k for sure, but for those who run more.T20k, have the extra 500s been better than less? A couple of other question I had are whether 85 5k.chips will be enough with there being a 1 re-buy option for the first 6 or 8 levels, and whether I should just add more 5ks or add 25 of a 25k chip to help with later color ups/change for rebuys(if needed). Thank you for any advice on this!

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I would have to add significantly more chips to my set than I'm planning to make that work for a full two tables. I will try that when it's a STT though. Thanks again!

10/4/7/x is bare minimum. 10/6/6/x or 10/6/11/x is better, 15/5/6/x even more so, while 15/5/11/x or 15/7/10/x is the nutz.

Adding more T5000 chips will be much more versatile and useful than T25Ks.

Color-up T100s with T1000 chips, and color-up T500s with T5000 chips. You won't use more than 4-8 T25K chips total, and T5000s will work just fine if you have none.

Thanks for the info. I'll be going with 10/6/6/2. Debated between more 5k's or 25 25k's, but figured between rebuys/color ups using some 5k's, and especially if the 1k's ever need to be colored up, having some 25k's wouldn't hurt. I still added 25 more 5k's as well, so will have 85 5k's and 25x 25k's.
