Best meal of the trip by quite some margin.

Absolutely huge bone marrow to start:

This was followed by an 18oz boneless ribeye (they'd run out of the 26oz bone-in, annoyingly) with a blue cheese crust (a bit much in hindsight), black truffle butter, creamed spinach, and parmesan truffle fries:

10/10. Will be going back next time.

Exactly how many times did you run naked down the strip this week?

Edit: dang got beat to it

You in Vegas: many fine steaks, golf, cultural experiences, etc.

Glad everyone has enjoyed this thread so much! Definitely didn't run down the Strip naked as promised, but lesson learnt, as Vegas has an incredible way of just getting better and better with every passing day you're there.

Sadly, it's time to (Flamin)go home! Just at the airport now, but will pen my final thoughts when I'm back home. On a side note, I'm so annoyed they changed the iconic tourism strapline — this new one is nowhere near as good.

Needed to head to Paris before the airport to cash in the $1s I had that weren't in good enough condition — but managed to come out with more, taking me up to this:

Well, not long woken up from a much-needed, 15-hour first sleep back here in the UK.

Few last bits that I forgot to mention from Vegas, first and foremost. Hoover Dam was pretty damn cool, but probably not worth five hours out of my final day on the bus tour (it says a lot about the degen I am that I would have rather spend that time playing poker):

The only good part about coming back from Vegas? Being able to stock up on cigars!

The plan was to go back next November for the Grand Prix, but just checked what the prices would be... Lol!

Will definitely heading back next year at some point though, for sure.

Final thoughts? Not much that can really be said, apart from:

Best. Holiday. Ever.

Thanks for reading, everyone. Until next time...

When you start planning the return, make it after the brutal summer heat. I’m sure there are a few more of us that would join you for part of it.

This Trip Report had it all! It had machine guns, fine dining and junk food, cocktails and beer, chip stacks and harvested chips, gambol and coolers, golf, cigars, steaks, hangovers, rock concerts, and hockey. And he hit the strip, downtown, the neon museum plus other locations. And plenty of pics for all of it. It was only missing strippers/dancers. The OP probably had that too but kept that on the down low.

I said it before and I'll say it again - this guy knows how to Vegas!!!

I nominate for this thread for Trip Report of the year. If there isn't such a category, there needs to be!

For anyone interested, this is what a Luxor + room combo runs for the F1...

Insanity. Wife and I were originally planning to go for our 10th wedding anniversary. We've since decided to hit Vegas when we can stay at one of the nicer hotels at normal rates and hit up an F1 race here in Europe.

A very wise plan indeed. The Cosmopolitan are releasing their room rates soon, as lots of the rooms feature a terrace that will overlook the track. Dread to think how much they will be...

Very kind of you to say so, sir — really glad you enjoyed. No strippers or dancers, but there's always next year...

Westjet flies London to Vegas direct?
Looks like there's one stop at Vancouver — think Virgin and BA are the only ones who go direct. However, controversial opinion: I rather long-haul flights with a a change as it gives you a chance to stretch your legs and get some proper food before jumping on the connecting flight.

That's about when the wife and I were looking now that we aren't doing F1 in November. Direct flights with Edelweiss from Zurich, but they're not that cheap unfortunately.
