Its that time of year again. Unfortunately, there won’t be bumping. Only 32 cars announced so far but I’m hopeful a 33rd will appear, the big teams aren’t leasing chassis and that is the problem. Also the fast 9 for pole is now a 12 car shootout. We will run qualifying and race day contests as before. Multiple games can be configured but first dibs are the usuals. @ChaosRock @bsdunbar1 @Chippy McChiperson @BGinGA @ekricket I‘m thinking of limiting each contest to 5 players so we each get 6 cars with a max of 4 games. Making the drafts is time consuming if a player is busy.

Each race day game is 5 players snake drafting 6 racers.

We can discuss the various games and wagers, there will be a pole, last row, and race competition, the field is stacked and once again Paulo’s favorite driver Marco Andretti will get shellacked, this is going to be a great race! Who is in?

For qualifying I’m thinking we don’t snake. You pick your top three and bottom three qualifiers. Lowest score wins the top half, highest gets the bottom. Best possible is 6. Worst is 96. Make sense?

1+2+3=6
31+32+33= 96

I’m using Gematria, so it don’t matter how you do it.
Probably a winning strategy. I’ve made pics based on my gut after watching early season results.

I haven’t determined which engine is better this year. Can a Dale Coyne car win this year? Maybe Sato again. I don’t know. Some drivers in the field have an uncanny ability at this place, Helio, Sato, Montoya to name a few. I like the Meyer Shank cars again and any Brazilian driver In this field

We have 33 cars. Dragon speed, Cusick, AJ Foyt team to get Stephan Wilson in the show. I can’t imagine there is another chassis available. Was hoping Paretta could strike a deal and put Simona in a seat again.

I'll do a side wager, snake picking the 11 teams. 5 each if two players, 3 each with three players.

Not sure why I can’t edit my first or second post? I thought the first post can be edited for 30 days. @Tommy

Good Practice session today, no casualties. I know who my target #1 pick will be.

When will kirkwood hit the wall? The dude was up high a couple times for no reason.

There are 12 now with Foyt loaning a chassis to Wilson’s team. That could be a good heads up contest. How do you adjust for a single car versus multi car team?

Average finish per team? Could throw out the 1-car teams....

Sounds good. I’ll go heads up on this one with you. I watched practice today. I learned a bunch but using the speed chart is very misleading with huge tow laps in there.

I need to do some quick study, and then we can do a snake draw for teams via pm at a predetermined time....

JJ with the third best practice time? Seems fishy.

Don't want to pile up on him but he's been a huge let down since he joined CGR, one of the top two teams in Indy.

Agreed, He can’t hang on road courses. He knows this track. It’s the only race he has a capability of winning. He has cup wins here.

right now looks like Honda has an edge but I think McLaren and Penske are right there.

"He can't hang on road courses" is definitely an understatement, Mike. His teammates are consistently running up front and he is consistently last 3 or 4. When he was racing Nascar, he was pretty good on road courses. He's been atrocious on ovals as well, btw. I just don't get it. I'm more upset because I'm a Nascar fan also and I hate that a superstar goes to Indy (to arguably the best team!) and absolutely sucks! Not good for Nascar.

Yeah, there seems to be a lot of parity between Honda and Chevy. This 500 might be one of the most competitive in recent time. Unfortunately for me, it seems the past couple of years haven't been too kind to Rossi. It all started when he re-signed with Andretti. I told you! He should have gone to Penske. LOL!!!

Can't wait, man!!! The 500 is for sure my favorite race of the year. And that is to say a lot since I am a road course guy.

Larson will be the only crossover star in Indy. Hope Roger sets him up next year.
