Heck of a wildcard game tonight! Of course the Yankees owned the Twins, that was expected. Rooting for the Rockies tomorrow night! What are your predictions? I'm hoping the Astros win it all.

Pulling for my Baby Bombers but they realistically are looking at a window starting next year. The pen and the bats will keep us in it but the starters and defense will bite us. They all need seasoning.

I think the title is wide open this year. I like to see the scrappy teams get hot. I like LA-Boston. Gut feeling.

It's Tribe time now. (Whoops, did I just turn it political??). I think it's an omen - throughout the month of October TheChipRoom is going to be selling some of the finest warez from tribal casinos.

Not many were saying that after the top of the first...

Severino looked like he was too amped up, which is why he didn't last one inning. Santana's slider was flat and not breaking at all so the Yankees were just sitting on his fastball.

Even if they had won last night, they were not going to make it very far with their lackluster pitching staff. I'm hoping there are some upgrades in the off season as well as some rookies who step up next year.

Also, I really hate the Yankees.

I will be rooting for either LA or Cleveland to take it home this year. Should be some good games coming up.

I thought either Judge or Didi would hit a 3 run dinger in the first, or we lose 5-1 or something like that. Once Judge hit his, it was all downhill for the Twins from there.

Robertson pitched great and got into the setup and closer and that's all she wrote.

Don't get me started about the retarded one game playoff though. t's like the league office actually wants to destroy what makes baseball great.

If the Yankees starters can give them quality starts, the Yankees will win the Cleveland series. Our pen is lockdown, the problem is the first 6 innings.

He pitches tomorrow for the 4 pm game. I'm off at 430. Great timing. GO ASTROS!!!

I'll be cheering for whichever team is playing against the Dodgers! In the AL I like Houston and Cleveland just because they are smaller market and don't have the history of success many of the other teams have.

I am hoping there are no political statements so I can just escape for a while and watch a sporting contest.

You're not gonna see anything like that in MLB, unless something happens in Boston again. Unlike the NFL or NBA, the African-American players are a small percentage of the league.

It's obviously going to be a rematch of last year with the Tribe taking it down this time... it's only right.

It seems to be a trend, starting pitching imploding in the first two innings of a one game playoff. First Severino, then Santana, and now Gray. Rockies fought back though, it just wasn't enough. Better luck next year!

@bergs oh man, Tanaka on the mound for game three? Well, it was a good year for the Yankees  :ROFLMAO:

7 shutout innings?

I was at game 5 of that series. Bought the tickets 10 mins after losing game 2. I was a young die hard back then. The stadium was insanity that night.

Still, not blowing game 2 means we're setting our rotation for Houston and getting people rest instead of traveling for game 5. Even with a win, Houston may be a buzzsaw on long rest.

In hindsight, the managerial decision not to challenge the hit-by-pitch in game two where the Yankees lead by five was a obvious mistake. It is rare to have such a clean situation where the game is affected by a coaching decision. We have a very strong argument that the game's outcome ended up riding on the decision not to review the play.

So my question for the Yankee faithful and sports fans in general is: Should the Yankees lose today, does that mean the coach is getting fired? His contract is up this year - there is going to be a decision to find a new coach or keep the one already in place anyway.

I don't think he gets fired, regardless of tonight's outcome. They can't all make every right decision like Joe Torre did.

Grats Yankee fans. 22-0 run ends up being of no consequence at the end. Still a great year for the Indians - - - but baseball is a cruel game. A couple of bad days and your year is over.
