So I don't post these every year but this year I had a lucky charm that was my secrete weapon. @links_slayer sent me one of his chippes!

We had 12 inches of ice with 8" of slush and water on top...30 mph winds...no table for poker and we were in a one horse town.

Normally that would make one miserable time...but I dropped the Links-Strong in my pocket and off we went!

We had 14 guys on the trip, caught enough fish for all of us to eat, Found a 6 foot folding table at Dollar General that we crammed 10 guys around and had a lot of fun, some good libations and great stories.

T500 tournaments all weekend when we weren't out on the ice...eh to the T500...but it was still fun though. One guy commented that my chips were "really nice" and that they were "good and heavy, they way the should be". I was nice and let it slide and just told him they were my cheap travel chips, at that moment I realized I was becoming a chip snob.

Ok the good Libations were in the disposable cups...I only endorse the downing of Bush Light in case of emergencies! We did have a Pony Of Hops Slam that saved the day if you weren't into Bourbon. (Thank You Andy!)

Awesome!
Those are my 2 favorite activities. I wish I could get away like that for a weekend. Thanks for sharing.

And I actually really like those chips as a backup set or travel set.

And is the camo so the fish don't see you? :ROFLMAO: Kidding of course. I wear camo whenever I can.

Good stuff! Where did you guys fish at? I was thinking about going a couple weekends ago down my way but the ice was covered in water. That next day a man and his 4 year old son fell through and drowned not far from where I live, it was a terrible story. Needless to say I did not venture out on the ice. Anyway it ain't the chips and table that make the homegame (though they help), it's the players! Oh yeah, nothing wrong with Busch Light!

Looks like an awesome time.

Anyone remember @monkeydog's CSQ set of hot stmaped chips with just fish and denominations? They were up on CT, but I can't find them straight away. All day glo colors, very simple. I really dug those.

EDIT: Found them. Thread here. Diamond Key Lodge. Sweet!

We went to Lake Missaukee in Lake City this year...next year back to our old haunt in Lake, Mi.

I caught a ton of fish but had to sort through for keepers.

@72o we had one of our regulars mve to Rhode Island and he made it for the first time in 3 years...he plays but has no home games in the area so he goes to the Casinos in Connecticut and Ma. To play.

Cool...yeah there's a pretty large casino in Connecticut. :)
