Well if he gets this price for used chips I'll definitely be putting my mint ones up for sale
(edit my .25's and $25's are used but the $1's and $5's are mint)
He's got them posted all over the country. I saw those too (in the Seattle craigslist postings) -- then I checked Portland and New York, and saw them there too.
Out of curiosity I emailed and asked where he got them and how he came to that value. His response:
You will Have to Call Phil 208-691-**** with any questions. I am just helping him with the ads. Thanks Tim

They are, however, a real nice set of EWING mold real Vegas strip vintage chips from 1971-1977. I bought mine from a guy named Ratfink over on CT. He was not a collector but found several boxes of mint chips in an attic while helping clean out his buddy's dad's house after he had to go to a rest home. He told me his buddy's dad was a security guard in Vegas in the 70's. I don't know the exact numbers but believe around 20 + boxes of $1's, 5 or so mint $5's and at least one box of used $5's, less than a box of used $25's and NO .25's were found. My numbers might be off but that is about what I remember.
i would say a more accurate value would be $1000 to $1200 range for this set
