Hi guys,
We've had a old/antique roulette wheel in storage for quite a while now. We decided that it needed to be restored to its former glory, maybe its worth something right? The mancave is not big enough unfortunately. Looking for people that might know something about these things.
I'm really curious if we can determine the exact period/year of fabrication, the original company that made her (I think Caro de Paris) and other cool things that there is to know.
And obviously, would love to get somekind of estimate price/worth on this thing, when fully restored!

I included some pictures for you guys to check out.

Would be cool if someone out there could help/knows anything more...

Kind regards,
C

Never restored one in my life, looks like a big project. I think the dirt and grime and rust can be taken care if easily enough, but rebalancing the wheel would be the key (a bike shop might have the right tools to test?).
To test for bias, you'd need to put a few hundred to maybe 1000 spins on it and record the results to see if there's a roughly even distribution.
As far as value, that's really subjective. A fully restored and balanced full size wheel in excellent working condition can fetch maybe $2000-$3000. More is possible, but then there's competition with other used casino wheels.
