The diamond in the center of the inlay, is that printed on the inlay, or is that cut out of the inlay?

Maybe let me ask a question, If I were to remove only the inlay, the white part, would there be a recessed area around the diamond? Is the diamond the same height as outside of the chip?

So by no means am I an expert on these, but based on the picture it looks like it’s the same height as the outside of the chip. If you zoomed in you can see a “crease” where the diamond is. To me that looks similar to the “crease” or gap that’s left between the edge of a chip and the recess area when the inlay is pressed. If I had to get on it I’d bet it was the same height.

As best I can tell, the inlay sits just a hair higher than the inside triangle. The triangle appears to be a cut out and not printed on the inlay. I’m updating the OP with counts of each chip type.

Those very much look like die-cut inlays to me, similar to the sorts of inlays you see on paranoids. The inlay is the white part, and it's cut out of a thin sheet of plastic using a die or punch. That makes the inlay a plastic circle with a diamond-shaped hole in it. The inlay is then pressed into the surface of the chip while it's in the mold, so that the inlay is then flush with the surface of the chip. The orange and yellow diamonds in the inlay are actually just the exposed clay of the chip that isn't covered up by the white plastic of the die-cut inlay.

Cool chips! GLWA
