That's a great buy, those are probably the nicest china clays I've played with.

Edit - good eye BGinGA, still not a bad deal but if they're not PGIs they're not what I was thinking.

Yep, PGI's interlocking reverse-L (Greek key) mold -- and the materials they used at the time -- rank among the best china clays ever produced.

But -- the chips in the OP are NOT the PGI china clays...... those are ProGen 80 chips, a cheaper chip produced on the interlocking-J mold using inferior materials. Still a decent buy at 10c each, but not the great bargain that PGI chips would be at that price.

@MegaTon44 should probably correct the thread title.

Thanks Dave. My apologies everyone. Title has been corrected.

The ProGen 80 chip (blanks) typically sold for around 25c each, and were considered to be a lower-tier china clay chip in terms of mold sharpness, materials, sound, and feel.

PGI china clay blanks usually sold for around 45c each (or higher) unless Joe was offering one of his special deals to forum members. The price difference was well worth it, imo.

6 dealer buttons on a one table set seems a bit much...

Good find, Dan!
