Wanted $100 chips for my mixed set (1 Viewer)

Looking for a barrel or 2 of $100s to go with my used mixed set. So far I have this...

200 - Orange Lucky Derby as $0.25 - I know they are stamped $1 but that's fine, I'm using them as a quarter.
200 - $1 Primary Horseshoes
200 - $5 Garden City w/ small inlay ( will probably add more )
100 - $25 Grand Vics
20-40 - $100 - still looking



Got that nice autumn/nature color scheme working.

So I was thinking the Casino Aztar $100 would work. But I have not found any yet. Plus I'm not sold on that chip and open to any suggestions on a $100 that would work with this set. If anyone has some well used Aztar $100s or anothers that would work with this set and are willing to part with them, let me know.

Wow. Thanks for laying them all out like that. That's awesome. Makes it really easy to visual the set. I really like the second option. Colors work the best IMO. The other Aztar works too. And I like the Empress as well. I'm trying to steer clear of the horseshoe since I am already using it for the $1, although they are the easiest to come by. Thanks for putting this together.

If your looking for used RHC chips to match molds wit the $5 & $25, for some reason, this Freddie's chip came to mind. I have a single from Spinettis - the red/pink color kind of fits as a red autumn shade of maple tree leaves.

Empress primary $100 is the clear winner imo. Spot pattern and muted colors wirk very well with the rest of the set, and acquiring a barrel or two at a reasonable cost shoild not be too difficult.

Aztar secondary $100 doesn't work near as well - it's too bright for the rest of the set, and the spot pattern is already used on the $25 chip.

Personally, I'd go with either Horseshoe chip in the jundo slot and replace the $1s with a decent RHC mold casino chip.

It looks like this set was built on a budget and it's a great example of what you can do for cheap (a word not often associated with Paulson chips.) With that in mind, I think the Cleveland $1 is the perfect chip to build this set around. I wouldn't compromise that choice to accommodate a $100 chip, which probably won't see a lot of felt time anyway.

Yes, it was built on a budget. Cheap, used and available were my criteria. Just worked out that the colors seem to work well together, but that was a complete after thought. I have ~$500 invested in 700 chips so far. $0.70/chip for a set of paulsons is pretty good in my mind. Will probably drop at most $50 on a barrel of $100 and grab another rack of $5s for $50. So for $600, I'll have a decent cash set that I won't stress over when my buddies splash the pot or shuffle the shit out of them. I have my mint PCA set that tops $2.5k in value and will only break that out with my more discerning friends ( or if enough of you all live near me and want me to host a game ).

I appreciate the input and the suggestions for $100 options. I know it's hard to get out of the mindset that clean and sharp edges is better (I struggled with that while deciding on this set), but I'm quite comfortable (now) with a barrel of beat up $100 as long as they are from a different casino than I'm already using and kinda work in the color scheme. And the second criteria goes away for the right deal on a barrel. This is my budget set. I need to save my cash for my CPC set I want. :-D

as much as I love the Aztar from #3, the first set with the Emperess is the best looking with the others .... and that spot pattern works

The Aztar MO secondary $100 are more in the $100 per barrel price range and most are in excellent+ or better condition.
I would go with the HS Cincy primary $100 if you want to keep it RHC mold or with the Empress if you want THC mold.. or obviously another $100 that you like in your price range

The $50/barrel is just starting point. For the right $100 chip, I'll pay whatever. I don't want to spend a ton, especially since they probably won't have much felt time, but I still want them to look good, even in my budget set and I've been known to spend way too much for chips in the past (at least that is what my GF says). Going to avoid the HS since my $1 is that. The Empress is totally an option. THC/RHC is not really a consideration I care about. Currently I have 2 of each in the set, so either mold will work just fine.
