-900+ purple
-comes with racks, look like Paulsons
-have a question out to seller whether they’re weighted or at least when the casino closed
- Seller has some mediocre reviews but as long as shipping method is settled on it could be a good pickup
-varying condition

Where, there goes the neighbourhood! (not bidding)

P.S. This is the same seller that I got my Grouse Mountain Lodge and Cavanaugh's closed cardroom chips from. He claims he was acting as agent for the seller at that time.

How was the packaging and shipping on those?

Alrighty, got some confirmation from others who consistently bid on eBay that they aren’t interested in this.

Doesn’t seem like anyone needs the lot, so hopefully we can get a well priced split. Feel free to pm if there’s something you’d like and comfortable price per rack.

And no, I don’t see this as price fixing. As I don’t know that I or others would bid solo, this way at least seller gets another interested buyer (group).

It may not be price fixing, but don't kid yourself into thinking you're not actively undermining somebody else for your gain. Not mad, just throwing the other side out there. This topic has been discussed many times so not going to debate, but yeah I defiitely come down on the side of its funny how people like to play the good guy on forums for the optics while others try to aproach all of life that way.

I know of one person who will be bidding on these, although I doubt they are going to make a serious run. They just like orange chips and try to buy all they can. ;) it's a weird sickness for this person. Lol

I’d agree if my “gain” is getting chips! Cause otherwise, getting three guys to buy the set of everything and resell at cost what we don’t want on here....ends up putting more money in sellers pocket as we would bid 0 otherwise, and takes money out of my pocket in exchange for chips.

Don’t really care for optics, just seemed like a fair/good way to handle it

Good luck in bidding!

Guess if I lose, chances are I can still just rebuy them from here for a small extra surcharge.

Yep, they will get marked up 500% trying to maximize every last penny, will sit in the classifieds unsold for God only knows how long, and will be bumped once or twice a day to put the ad to the top of the page...

I saw that too, Tom. My thoughts exactly...

did any of us win?
haha, and if this guy thinks he can relist in hopes of getting a better shake next time, ..... uh he just screwed the pooch

The bidding got to $1325, not exactly unreasonable. He even wrote "no reserve" in the listing. Thankfully these hijinks never happened when I acquired the Grouse Mountain Lodge/Cavanaugh's set. Someone should report it.

$1325 is about what I would expect this to go for, maybe even a bit surprised it went that high. If he wants to make more he needs to split that off to individual racks and set buy it now prices.

So what happened here then, he just unlisted it before the auction expired?

As both a seller and buyer on eBay (not usually chips though), eBay can be really frustrating.

Woulda been me but got blasted at the last second. I think this channel hurts more than it helps sometimes lol.
If you were the $1,080 bid, I had your number :watching::watching::ROFL: :ROFLMAO:. Extremely common for people to bid at the last moment/have automated bids to go at the last 1-2 seconds so people can’t adjust.

I think "automated" is BS honestly. eBay should block shit like that. I bid 900, but I was the bid at 710 when it was flagged again here. I didn't think I would win but I'm sure it ran the price up. I figured a grand with shipping was worth a flyer especially with how it looks like the chips were stored...just loose in a box....*shudder*

Anyway, can't wait to see them in the classifieds for $1 plus per chip.

If it makes any difference I went above $900, didn’t use automated bidding, and was reminded about the auction via email, not the bump here and still didn’t win either :)
