Greetings! I have 1,151 original Paulson Horseshoe Gardena Casino chips that my Grandpa left me up for auction. These Horseshoe chips were made for casinos but never used in the casinos. These chips have shaped inlays (with the exception of the $2's, they are round inlays) compared to some that were made in round inlays. The chips feature the THC as well. From what I have gathered, this is a very nice and rare set to own. I am selling these as a set but if someone wishes to buy and sell what they don't want/need, that works too. I'm hoping this beautiful set of chips will find a good home. It was hard to make the decision to sell the chips my Grandpa left me but I would like for them to find a home where they will be truly enjoyed by a collector and someone that will appreciate them.

Condition: Please see pictures

Breakdown of chips:
$2 - 199, $5 - 250, $10 - 30, $20 - 41, $25 - 30, $50 - 301, $100 - 300
Total: 1,151 chips

As soon as payment clears, I will ship packages out. I have been reading over how to properly ship and will treat this wonderful set with the utmost care when packaging as I want these chips to arrive the way they left. I will stretch wrap, bubble wrap the chips along with padding the inside of the box and use plenty of tape on the outside of the box as well.

It will be tough for you to break this up as you have auctioned the whole gang of beauties.

If you are willing to break up...maybe put up a sale ad for $4600 and then break it if you want.

Just a thought...im new also..but your auction info states you'd break it...but you can't if whole set is in an auction state

He means that YOU can buy the set and then break it up and sell off what you don't want.....

And what is the count of shaped inlays versus round inlays for each denomination? Thanks...
Ok so after checking each chip, all the chips/denominations are shaped inlays with the exception of the $2's. They are round in plays. I will edit post. Sorry for the confusion.

It's of no consequence. You are $5k richer...

Crap am I overpaying again? Are they only worth a dolla a chip?
I wish these were the kinds of problems i actually have...

Sick chips man! If I had the clout and cash...id have beaten you to it...lots of nostalgia...family history..look minty...

I'd say more than $1/chip. But if you love them...who cares. more power to you...

They have beautiful edge spots, progressing inlays, look mint, and most people havent seen them before (The Casino closed in 1989). That makes them rare and desirable in my book. Beautiful chips! And at $3.99 per chip, for original rare beautiful Paulsons, you are getting what you pay for, a grail cash set.

Several have posted information on this in the past including @JFCJ and @BGinGA ; the following was stated by @BGinGA a while back.

“The Horseshoe Club in Gardena CA was a real card room, and closed in 1989. At some point towards the end, Paulson chips with "Horseshoe Casino" and mostly real shaped inlays were ordered, but they were either never used, or never delivered..... and if the latter, most likely sold in the Paulson store in Las Vegas.

Paulson later produced additional "Horseshoe Casino" fantasy chips, using the same nine base/spot color combinations but with round inlays, and these were sold in the Paulson store. Those same color/spot combinations were also used to produce chips for quite a few different fantasy chip sets (Le Cove, Casino de Mexico, Viva Las Vegas, etc.), prior to the B&G/Bud Jones/Paulson reverse merger that became GPI. The well-known Paulson "fantasy chip colors" lineup all started here.”
