    Why a Raised Rail?

Only use raised rail on one table, which acts as a 'feature/final' table. My players love it... they get 'it' and wouldn't have it any other way. Raised rail portion gives room for further customization for art, diffusers and such. ... aside from what everyone else has already mentioned.

Question: Cup holder rings in rail

FWIW....I made a dummy end of a rail (about 18" piece), with the whole 9 of materials (foam, vinyl, cup holder inserted, etc)...to test out. Did some damage testing, per se... And it seems as though the whisper vinyl is very strong. I tried ripping those slits further by hand and by moving the...

Question: Cup holder rings in rail

Codeman, To cut the vinyl for the cup holder spots, I recommend doing more of an 8-slit star vs just an X. Or depending on description, you could call it a double X cut. You first do an X (or cross +).... Then cut slits at every V shape (quarters).... Doing that 4 times will give you 8ths. As...

    Sweet set of legs?

The Rockler legs, I can attest, are perfect. Look great, aren't in the way , are sturdy as hell and provide the ability to fold them and store your poker table away. That's having your cake and eating it too.

    Padded Folding Chairs

Oh okay. Yeah, with the 9 cup holders and the 92X44 dimensions.... spaced them at 23 & 1/4" or so from center to center... can't recall exactly just now.

    Padded Folding Chairs

Just scored these @ $15 per. on a Craigslist find. Business owner got some dinged up chairs, most only minor cosmetic blemishes. He threw in 2 free (bent legs) to sweetin the deal. New chairs...albeit some cosmetic imperfections. Still great deal me thinks.

    Table Build #2

If it really irks you, remove staples and spread that vinyl some in both directions. It's not all that much and think you can definitely get it straightened out. You just need a good staple puller

Question: Cup holder rings in rail

Aaron, Sorry I missed your post... been swamped. I didn't make a build thread.... Probably should have. I just used the countless other build threads on similar tables as reference. Didn't really think my table build added anything new. What in particular are you wondering?

Pricing custom tables: anyone regret not getting a raised rail, lighting or cutout?

Here's one time we squeezed in a 10th person, late arrival on a fifty cent blinds game using a 60" round. Was obviously tight, especially considering 3 of the players are big fellas. We were willing to sit tighter than normal....all agreed the 10th player and his $80 buy-in didn't deserve to...

Pricing custom tables: anyone regret not getting a raised rail, lighting or cutout?

Nice breakdown Trihonda.... I won't dare argue with you guys cause I know it's been calculated down to a science. Everyone's had to weigh their options, the pros and cons of each and just from my personal take on it, the not reaching the middle of a round 60" table concern was a wash when...
