Since Texuede has become unavailable, I've switched over to Unisuede with good results.

Plywood: $50 Cut oval hole, cut oval outside shape, stain, lacquer, done. Probably takes a couple hours total labor. Wood: $250+ Plane to thickness Joint edges Glue up panels with 6 or more 4ft clamps Sand Then do all the steps from the plywood racetrack. Takes several days if labor.

He's not on pcf much, I've nudged him to check his messages. Custom prints are usually dye sublimation, so no, can't do metal foil. If you want that, you're better off with an iron on vinyl transfer but that will peel off over time.

I end up with a large-ish leftover piece and add it to my box of leftovers. I'm at 5 boxes and counting... Yes, though it's harder to work with and costs more, it's worth the upgrade IMO.

Likely price and ease of installation. Decent quality vinyl is about $30/yard, so under $100 for a table. Depending on the leather, it can be 3x to 8x that price. Leather is also quite a bit harder to work with than stretchy vinyl. And if you make a mistake with leather, that's quite costly...
