    Unicorn Mold?

That doesn't make things easier indeed, but it does confirm how cool Chip history is, and that there are plenty of mysteries around to keep things interesting!

    Clay or nay?

Hi all, I also found this one. Any thoughts on how likely these are to be clay chips? I've also asked the seller if he could make a clearer close-up picture of one of the chips for me, so I hope we can get one soon!

    Unicorn Mold?

Hi all, just encountered a pretty good deal on a set of these chips here; I checked antique gambling chips and they look pretty much exactly the same as the Unicorn mold on there, just green rather than blue... Just wanted to hear from you guys; does anyone have any of these Unicorn mold chips...

Craigslist find #6: Coastal Gaming Paulsons from Curacao

Nice find! Looks like most of them haven't seen very heavy use either.

    China Clay Odor Question

So far I only got myself a sample set of both cc Pharaohs and Majestics. Both types smelled when they arrived. As I shuffled and handled them to get a good feel of the chips I noticed that the smell on the Pharaohs dissipated a lot faster, but in the end the smell mostly disappeared from both types.

    Vacation in Las Vegas

I got myself a sample set of the Valentinos; personally I do miss the feel of an inlay, but other than that they are really nice. Plus, there's that semi-custom element there which is REALLY cool of course. Like everyone here always says: get yourself some samples! ;)

    Vacation in Las Vegas

The normal ceramics are completely flat; because the hybrids have a recessed 'inlay', the chips look and feel more like classic poker chips. I have a set of the Asconas and they are really nice; they feel and look great. The biggest difference with clay chips is of course the sound. There is...

    Vacation in Las Vegas

It's a ceramic that has a recess in it with a laminated sticker instead of an actual inlay to mimic that effect. See http://www.pokershopeurope.co.uk/ekmps/shops/a5e0fc/images/ascona-ceramic-hybrid-poker-chips-386-p.jpg for an example.

If you're thinking about China Clays, you tend to be better off with now with Dunes, Pharaohs or Majestics rather than Milanos. See @Hobbyphilic video on Youtube about this:

Where can I get Tiki Kings pokerchips with shipping to Germany?

What saves me some money, especially when ordering from Ebay, is having them sent to one of those companies that have a US address and who then send items on to you. The one I use is Myus.com, but there are plenty of others (viabox, shipito, borderlinx and MANY others, so look around). Some...

Opinion Poll - Real Casino, Fantasy Lines, or Who Cares?

I don't care too much what a set looks like, as long as it's good looking. I generally like the more classic looking chips, not hotstamped (they're ok, but don't really stand out for me), but the ones with a smaller inlay. In terms of feel though, there's just nothing like a lovely worn-in set...
