USPS Informed Delivery (1 Viewer)

I signed up for this a few months ago when a colleague showed me it. I don't seem to get package images but it's very handy for regular mail, especially when you're expecting things like tax bills and the like. We are so lazy at collecting mail from the box that it's a handy reminder to go do so!

Package images don't show up... it just says something like "there are other articles in this delivery that do not appear here" or some such nonsense. I checked the email notifications regularly the first few weeks, now I mostly ignore them since the majority of the photos are all junk mail.

Good service in theory - kind of lame in practice. It just turns junk snail mail into junk email. Although it may be worthwhile if/when you're expecting something important, otherwise just send the daily emails to spam and/or delete.

The article I read was talking about scammers signing up using your address and stealing credit cards

I'm getting notices of packages delivered, but they really aren't . I think they run out of time, bring the mail back to the station, and scan as delivered to look good for the bosses above.

We never get images for packages. Unfortunately, we do occasionally get images for the same piece of mail every day for three weeks or more. All those problem pieces have eventually shown up, but still...

I have been using this service for over a year now and I really enjoy it in the winter. If there is nothing I want I don't bother walking down to the mailbox in the freezing cold snow. Packages show up for me just as tracking numbers.

I just signed up for this, and the nice part is that it’ll tell me tracking numbers for packages that are addressed to me. So even if a seller forgets to send me the tracking or tell me that it’s shipped, I’ve got all the info.

But other than that, yea it’s basically just images of junk mail which is just kinda sad.
