Must have been a second printing of the purple as I found the old info from the original GB on chip thickness. I will need to check through my Purples to see if there are 2 different sizes/thicknesses.

Original GB
Thickest: Red, Brown, Black & Blue
Mid level thickness: Green, White & Pink
Thinest: Yellow, Gray & Purple (Gray was the thinest)

Huh definitely must be a second printing because my reds are the thinnest.
 
Yeah those had to be from the 2nd GB. Some chips ran out quickly and a second run was probably done for the 2nd GB, which is where the leftover inventory probably came from. Most of my chips came from the 1st GB.

Joe (PGI) originally had racks made that didn't quite fit. I took these pics when testing them out before he had the newer racks made that fit correctly. You can see the thickness comparison.

In case there are any EU chippers that were left without greens, let me know. Open to trade/sell up to 150 at cost (incl. taxes already paid (n) :thumbsdown:)

EDIT: Please let me know if this is against the vendor rules, will delete.
 
Definitely a big difference in the Purples. Left stack is chips from original GB, Right stack are from blowout sale & probably from the 2nd GB. Almost a half chip difference in height and just slightly darker in color.

YEP. That is what I have my first 400 are from the left my last 50 are like the ones on the right.
 
Yeah thats a real bummer for you guys. I couldn’t care less about varying stack heights between different denoms but I coouldn’t live with different heights within the same denom.

Purple is the only color I've found with the issue. I'll have $500 Purples (original GB) & $10 Purples (Blowout) that will never be in the same game together so not a big deal for me there.

Blues, Blacks, Browns, Pinks, Greens & Greys all check out as same size. Didn't get any Reds or Whites this time around to compare & of course no Yellows.

I won't be using the new purples. 400 $5 is probably enough

Did you manage to get any of the 8V racks from Gene? New Purple fit really tight as well as Blacks. Blues & Browns a little better but all will fit. And as they get a little play they should fit better.

This is exactly my experience. The whites are a bit tighter than the blues, pinks, etc.
 
All my cash chips labeled and racked. $3755 in bank, which is kind of silly, since we’ve never had $200 on the table. :)

I can run anything from .05/.10 to (theoretically) an awkward, small 1/2 game.

Now only 900 purple chips to label for my limit set.
