Not Mine Cleveland Horseshoe $25 secondary (1 Viewer)

Generally speaking, $2 apiece isn't an unreasonable price for any mint paulsons. I'd have a hard time paying that, knowing the chip room was blowing these out for either $99 or $129 per rack (I forget which) in the end - there was just way more supply than demand for this particular chip. But that deal is over, so I guess it doesn't do any good to think about that.

Yeah, they were basically "clearanced" out for $1/each during the sales, but like @upNdown said, those days/sales are over.......so...
Since they didn't get blown out here at $1, I can't see much of a market for higher than that outside of PCF....unless they find the right buyer...

Still my least favorite HS Clev chip of all of them....can't quite decide why either, but it is what it is...

EDIT: Now I see who the eBayer is......they are definitely "higher priced" from that source......but I have bought from him to fill a rack where I only needed ~5-7 chips, and it was still ~$40 for 10 chips......high but "needed".... Would I buy large quantities from him, no way.....

Oh nice, $1 seems like a pretty good price for the secondary chips or nicer condition primaries. Is that a fairly typical price point for chips like this getting dumped into the market?

Not really, here are the very first prices: They went up after that with various other sales, except the $25's which went down to ~$1/each
Hope this helps give you a sense of the pricing.

It really depends but $1 a secondary chip is a steal regardless. HS CLE was by far the largest sale in years so the market was hungry for Paulsons, let alone untouched mint secondaries, but Jim definitely sold them for less than he could have captured given the demand. It's not that there was anything particularly desirable about the HS CLE venue, it was all about supply to a market that had been dry for years. To have the quantities it had made for an interesting dynamic - this wasn't some small Washington state cardroom closing up shop with 50,000 chips. Your choice of the word "dumped" is pretty apt but as @nitzilla showed the idea of secondaries for a buck was very fleeting even given all the factors in favor of some of the best prices ever seen.

Consider that the HS CIN sale is still going on. Similar quantities and the prices aren't that much higher but people are maxed out on bulk purchases, possibly for a long time. I don't expect to see more dumping anytime soon.

Yup, but I think he's got those priced right, at least in terms of perceived value, even if our little niche market is a bit tapped out at the moment.
$1.79 for new mint five dollar chips, $2 for new twenty-fives, and $3 for new hundreds - seems about right.

Yah on the whole you're probably right, but keep in mind this is for a dinky ass Ohio casino that almost nobody but @btbmason knows about or frequents. So to @salimoneus's question, a dollar a secondary is a fluke. Imagine if NGC changed the rules to allow Vegas casinos to sell chips, and the Bellagio or something went out of business. No way would we see the prices we have now, especially if the seller timed the sale correctly.

Yup. Perceived value includes Chip mold, design, and casino prestige, for sure. Neither of the recent Horseshoe releases ranked particularly high for any of that criteria.
No, mint Paulsons for a buck apiece isn't a reasonable expectation under any circumstances. Starbursts sell for more than that.

Can they (secondaries) now be found on online shops or just from previous owners?
Also, is there such notion as secondary (not casino-used) 1s or 5s? (either Cleveland or Cincinnati)

i)
Cleveland, no. The Chip Room sold all those chips quickly. The one exception is that Apache poker chips is an online shop that will buy and sell Paulsons, but their inventory is sort of hit or miss.
Cincinnati, yes. Those chips were sold and continue to be sold here: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/february-12th-multi-casino-sale.17972/

Cleveland, no. Some people did get some primary $5’s that appeared lightly used or unused, but they were mixed in with all of $5’s. None of the $1’s fit into this category.
Cincinnati, yes and no. No secondary (read: different design) $1’s or $5’s were produced. However, unused primary $5 chips are still being sold in that link above.
