Artwork discussion for new Paulson chips (1 Viewer)

What happens if you already ordered the chips from last time, do we have to submit another order if we would just like to keep the original purchase amount?
 
I would have wanted pink or yellow for the quarter instead of brown. But either way, I'll stick with my original order, which was

.25 x 100
1 x 200
5 x 400
25 x 75
100 x 25

Once the order site is up I'll post it in some board game areas. These will make great chips that can satisfy scoring for a multitude of games - a set of 200 chips can probably satisfy the scoring needs of 75%-80% of all games, will last longer than most board game components, are higher quality than most, and are cheaper and more practical than metal coins (albeit probably less thematic).
 
So have these been completely ruled out?

A simple order of 25x 1-25k would do cover most 1-5 player games in existence assuming folks don't mind making change. If you perceive change to be an issue or otherwise cumbersome then just double it to 50x. There are some games like (the appropriately named) Las Vegas that deal with scores in the millions that would exceed the general bounds of this set, but most deal with more mundane, terrestrial numbers.

TBH, this would be overkill for most folks & purposes - there isn't really a *need* for a universal gaming currency like this. But for those that prefer something more substantial & universal than most game components, this set fits the bill. These are also a great substitute for lost currency chits/bits/papers.

We played Lords of Vegas the other weekend using my cash chips and it was vastly better than paper money. I would use chips any time that I could and money was public. I wasn't even thinking any denominations above 500 would be necessary. Seems like most titles play with 1/5/10/50 or something similar.

They do, but then I look at games like Wits n Wagers, Winner's Circle, Xia, & the like that have currencies starting in the 100's and upper denominations start to become prudent. Obviously you could just use a multiplier if necessary, with each number representing 100 of something or 1k of something; but if we're talking about a luxury good and blinging a game with a universal currency & counter set, may as well bling it out with the proper denoms.
 
I wasn’t part of the original one, but what are the prices on these? I think I want a tourney set.

We don't seem to be limited to buying by the 25 piece roll. [EDIT: Yes, we are. Hitting +1 in the cart adds 25 chips to the order.] What amount would you actually buy to cover most multiplayer board games? And what was that Monopoly breakdown?

Before 2008 this was the breakdown:

“The money comes in 20 orange $500 bills, 20 beige $100 bills, 30 blue $50 bills, 50 green $20 bills, 40 yellow $10 bills, 40 pink $5 bills, and 40 white $1 bills.”

In sept. 2008 it changed to a standard 30 bills of each denom.
 
@Apache will you ever make any paulsons that resemble thc chips? Or anything that looks close to cdi or any of the casino chips on Paulson or thc molds?

Honestly, roughly 25 per denom, and hats exactly what I ordered. You might go lighter on the 25k and heavier on the 100, but 200 chips is about right. Figure 4-5 chips per denom - enough for the next color-up - times five players. 25 of each denom comes out to pretty close to that, and is just a nice, even 200pc set.

Most games won’t require a 25k, but there are a few like Xia that might need them, and since I own that game I bought the 25k chips.
