Would love to see more in this thread... what are folks doing for display??

I have these cases to display my singles and collectors chips. Every couple months, I rotate to get different chips in them (also I change the themes up; all Vegas chips, CO and New Mexico chips, all $100s, etc.)
Current theme is Team USA, for the Olympics; red, white, blue, and gold!

I store my Faux Clay in beater aluminum cases, and used to keep a couple nicer sets in this bureau.

It’s not an antique/heirloom piece, but I like the shape and that it has some decoration on it.

Each drawer holds 3 or 4 cardboard chip boxes, so its max capacity is 2800 inefficiently-stored chips.

Maybe I should look into getting an old apothecary cabinet, and then dream of how I'd fill it up.
NOOOO! Those poor chips need to breath and see the light of day. Chips need to also be admired so maybe a barrister bookcase would work better. An apothecary cabinet would only hide them and they would not be appreciated by anyone but you and only when you open one drawer at a time!

These things cost too much and are too hard to replace, if not impossible. So mine live in a Magnum 50 http://www.libertysafe.com/safe-national-magnum-safes-ps-3.html

I bought this book shelf off Wayfair and built it yesterday. I like the look and it fits my sets well. The empty racks on the bottom are 300 Meurtos chips that are loaded into the poker table drawer. I have another 100 1's coming in to round that set off and another 100 Tiki 1's to beef that up as well! This hobby will be the end of me lol.

Another tasteful addition to your chipping repertoire!! Beautiful!

Sadly I no longer have it. I’ve actually replaced it with two rough hewn tables.
I think you can take "sadly" out of that comment. "Happily" would be more apt.

Can you imagine how f'd up the Paymaster table would be with a Shuffletech coming out of the second corner?

lol, I think Tom meant he no longer has the parsons table in the background. The main Hitching Post table is alive and well, although no longer with the pia ShuffleMaster device.

Lots of poker table pics in the Hitching Post and several SOP threads.

Great looking chips  ;)
Thanks buddy! My room is slowly coming together. That shelf sits nicely in the corner. Completely out of the way.

Next will be a wall mount TV and hoping to find a used mini fridge with patience on Craiglist. Haha

Then...I'll see about those bottom two rows...they need some love too...

Nice, I'd like to get a second TV for Tourney purposes. I think I got my mini fridge on Amazon for like 80 bucks with prime delivery. It came with a few dents so they knocked off $40 and I got it half off lol. I was pumped.

Edit: It was 109 and they refunded 54 and change lol. RCA 3.2 Cu Ft.

I just see this and worry about insurance!!! Awesome!

The collections in this thread are amazing. I have none that compare..and yet with a new TChan table around the bend, I'm worried about insurance.

With my table and recent 3600 chip buying craze, I'm in for a hefty amount.

I wonder if a bunch of PayPal transactions will serve to prove anything about the costs of my chips. None of them irreplaceable by any count however.

I guess this is not the right thread to discuss this. Im very new to a 'collectible' type of hobby and worry about these things with the sudden investment I've made into poker and the chips to play with. It's a big number.

I'll start with my agent. Once I get my table, I'll arrange a meeting.

@Lemonzest if you got any suggestions or advice, I'd love to hear it.
