OK, I'll start the bidding at $10.

Great work, Tony!

Nice work Tony, I like the dice trays. If you ever want to expand your table business, take a look at some of the board gaming tables people make. Some crazy detailed stuff around.

Thanks Irish. I've seen some of the spectacular board gaming tables out there like Geek Chic. That stuff is way beyond my woodworking abilities but would be very neat to try someday. I've always had plans to expand to non-casino gaming tables, but with poker table orders filling my schedule I just don't have time to expand to other tables. One day...

Very nice, Tony! You don't have to limit yourself to just poker and gaming tables. Check out Andrei at www.mtmwood.com. He specializes in end-grain chessboards, cutting boards, etc.

He is extremely proficient using a CNC machine, like you. He has posted several tutorials on YouTube. He has every piece of major woodworking equipment, except a lathe.

I have thought of making myself a nice end grain cutting board, I've seen some tutorials on youtube as well as a video from thewoodwhisperer. If I had more time I would probably jump on these projects.

Last summer when things got slow I built a bookshelf for my mom and a 8'x9' wardrobe for my bedroom. My limitation (for now) is that I don't have any joinery experience other than high school woodworking classes nor do I have all the tools. I've got the tools I need to make poker tables, not the tools for working with hardwoods. I make due for small projects like this.

Geek Chic is good, but it's overkill for most people's needs, budget, and patience. There is room out there in the market for basic-but-quality gaming tables. There was a company from North Carolina displaying such wares at Origins Game Fair, but even what they offered was overpriced for a basic table, and their gaming surface was straight suede with no padding underneath. Looks nice, but entirely impractical. Basic nylon-covered neoprene padding (in other words,- custom cut mouse pad) is better suited for that, doesn't require glue/stapling, and is easily/cheaply replaced in case of damage.

Anywho, I'm thrilled that your shop is kept busy with poker orders, but if you ever feel the need to expand your range, just know that there's opportunity.

A couple more small projects.

Trophy for my poker league for last year's big winner:

And a few chip trays that are just about finished just needs some lacquer.

Tony,

Do you still do custom chip trays and boxes like the one you did for the Hitching post? Very interested in getting something similar ordered for my Zens!

Yes I'm still offering the boxes, but be forewarned that they take me a long time to make. The one for the hitching post took me like 5 months. But yes I'm more than happy to make them.

Also mine used splayed maple which I know was a beast to work with. I’d imagine that probably contributed to the timeframe?
