I saw these Members Mark cases at Sam's Club today. They look similar to Pelican brand cases with the pick and pluck foam and are only $35.

Yeah I picked up this case a few months back as well from Amazon when someone mentioned it. Best case for the price no doubt. As long as Amazon keeps them in stock, I will keep buying them for around $30.

Those were the 16" that were being sold a while back. These are the new 20" which are great. I just picked one up for $35 and may go get another!

I just picked one these up at lunch. From checking out the sample case they had out it is well constructed and a great value for $35.

I may have to get a few more as this one may end up being used for going to the range.

The 44" model for $70 is really nice. It has wheels for easier transport. I will probably get one of those as well In the near future.

Thanks for the heads up, gonna try and run by Sam's this week to check out the newer 20" case (looks like 2 extra rows of chips compared to the 16") . And that 44" case with wheels looks like it could be a great bargain as well. (y)

How many racks will one of these safely hold? I'm heading to Sam's today (best fuel prices in the area), it can't hurt to stop in the big store and get some badly needed storage.

This is the 16" Members Mark case. Mine is configured to hold 800 chips in two rows of 4. The 20" is 3.4" wider on the inside so I'm figuring it will safely hold 1000 in two rows of 5.

Thanks for this thread. I'm not in US but in Canada we have Princess Auto. Just checked and they have a 22" wheeled version 1/2 price for $62.99 cad.

Might drop in and pick one up.

Yep couldn't resist myself. Just got back with (2) 20' cases and (1) 44' case. The 20" is quite a bit bigger than I thought. Should be able to get a lot more than 1000 in this baby. Not a fan of the Members mark foam but I can work with it for the price savings.

For comparison to Pelican:

The 20' Members Mark - less than $35 at Sams is the same size case as a Pelican 1520 which runs around $115 normally at Amazon (save $70).

The 44' members Mark - less than $70 at Sams is the same size case as a Pelican 1720 which runs around $200 normally at Amazon (save $130).

Wally World/Sams is gunning for the Pelican market. There were just 2-3 of the long gun case 44' left at my store and maybe 6-7 of the 20' left on the shelf. Folks around here buy the crap out of these things for gun cases.

Once again thanks for the heads-up @k9dr

Same here. There were no 44" cases left in stock.

By the way, " indicates inches. ' indicates feet. You got it right once, but for the most part I was grinning like a child at Christmas thinking how many chips would fit in a 20' case. :)

None of the new cases at my local Sam's, never found the 16" cases there either.

Probably for the best as I still don't really need one, but I typically enjoy throwing money at cool things I don't really need.

I don't see the 20" on Amazon, only the 16" for $55.

View attachment 113546 View attachment 113547 Got my case as well... The 20". My Sam's had probably 10 of the 20" and 7-8 of the 44" rolling case. I fit 1000 chips as well and two decks of cards.

Edit: it is heavy though, but seems nice quality!

Configured my Members Mark 20" this weelend for 1200 chips by turning the racks horizontal (similar to @Poker Zombie setup minus the plaques) with 2 rows instead of vertical (will post pics later). But it is heavy as hell. Only using for local storage so it doesn't have to move any great distances. Saving the Members Mark 44" & my Pelican 1510's that have wheels for portable type storage.

Way cheaper directly from Sams (right now).

Amazon

Sams

Yeah I really want to get one of these.

So I would only need to transport 600 chips at once + 4 decks, dealer chips, bounties, seating chips etc. go for the 20 or 16 inch?

Also, I don't have a sams membership. Can you shop there and just pay a surcharge like at Costco?

Buy it now and get the 20". You never know when you will need to transport more than 600 chips. I can probably purchase for you and have it shipped to you if that helps.

Really appreciate the offer but I'm going camping this weekend. Driving past 2 sams which is great because I have none within a 1 hour drive.

But can I just walk in there and buy it without membership?. You can do that at Costco, just pay 10% more I think. I don't know about sams.
