Todd

Do you have any more of the small inlay Garden City $5's? I tried to buy more, but paypal said they were sold out:(

Now my chips have arrived, been cleaned and oiled! They cleaned up really good, saved some dirty chips for reference! Thanks to Todd for the great deal. :)

Many casinos keep an entire set of backup chips, whether due to their own policy or state regulations. These secondary chips are never used, thus they're in mint, uncirculated condition.

Most of the time. A few that were eventually mixed into circulation:

  • Entire Empress secondary rack
  • Aztar (MO) 5
  • PCA 1, .50
I'd say most of the time they are never used, though.

Not to derail this thread, but... why did those casinos end up circulating their secondary chips? I imagine there are some interesting stories behind those events.

Hoping that these links are all still good. Had a few drinks last night and put through an order for some Horseshoe 1s, 100s and a few 500s (been thinking about it for a couple of weeks but the wine encouraged the purchase finger). It all looked good so I assume it's all good?

If it is still open how much longer will it stay open...? In case I have another wine inspired purchase moment. :D Still kind of hot for those bargain priced Garden City chips, after all I live in Toowoomba, the "Garden City" so it seems appropriate I own a set... Right??

Just picked up a rack of small inlay $5 garden city! Awesome price. Thanks

Ordered a Heads Up Set, first real chips.

Tempted to pull the trigger either on a full set, or just a few racks of $5 as the start of a mixed set.

Im on my 3rd order to complete my cash set while still available. They clean up nice using the ultrasonic method from the chip maintenance forum. They feel and play great while not as nice as some of the sets being offered in the classified forum, they are priced as such, and it is great to be able to use actual Pulsons in a home game without having to mortgage your house.
