Looked at this thread this morning and thought I'll post something later.
7 pages in one day on hot dogs ?
....... Ok it's meat inside bread. It's a sandwich

What about a bacon butty in a bap that isn't completely sliced through? Right. On your bike. :sneaky:
English only please
Wotcha, mate! It's really quite elementary, you gormless plonker:

It's a pukka sarnie, made with a buttered bap stuffed with streaky bacon. It's the dog's bollocks, and you'd be chuffed to have one.

Now sod off.

See if you hadn't delayed your post this could have all been cleared up so much faster. :)

It pukka jubbly guvna'. And that, my old china, is a Bacon Buttie! FTW !!

Flour tortilla is an outstanding bread substitute. Being that I still try to avoid bread as much as possible I may even bring my own for pulled pork SANDWICHES this weekend :D

If Ronoh puts the the pork through a forced meat machine, is he eating a pulled pork hotdog?

What if you drill a hole in a loaf, insert a small sausage into the hole, then refill the hole with the excavated bread?

That's meat inside bread, but it isn't a sandwich.

^ sausage roll.

If you sliced through the bun and created two distinct portions of bun (bread), then you would have a hotdog sandwich.

A hotdog in a bun that's still 1 complete bun is not a sandwich.

Dough-based enclosure classification of eats:

Calzone
Taco
Pita
Wrap
Roll (or 'bun')
Sandwich

Hotdog in a bun falls under the 'roll' family, along with Lobster Roll and any 'link'-based items you place in a bun.

A bike is not a car, and is also not a train. But they are all vehicles.

A roll is not a wrap, and is also not a calzone. But they are all sandwiches.

I'm not walking into a pizza place and ordering a calzone sandwich. I'm not walking into a dealership and buying a bicycle car.

Exactly!!

Which is why its hard for people to understand that they are eating a sandwich. We have labels on things to make it easier to communicate things we want.
If you walked into a car dealership and asked for a "Vehicle", he might bring you back a bike. Not fully understanding your intention!
