I'm now committed to putting together a full THC mixed casino set. My fracs and $25's are set. Which $1 do you like? I'm leaning towards the Paris with the white inlay, but I could see continuing with the hot stamp of Sam's Town. I'll be in Vegas later this year and plan to harvest my own $1's. The Copa $5 is my dream chip, but very unlikely that I would be able to get them. The Golden Eagle, while expensive, I think are attainable. Lastly, while I love my Aztar $100's, my OCD doesn't like having two denominations from the same casino. I'm only using a barrel of $100's. I'm hoping that I can find a good hundo that someone would be willing to trade a barrel for. Recommendations?

I thought about that. Same could be said for row one also. I wonder how bad it would really be.

Yep, but it would be less severe. Honestly I don't think you can use a blue one with those fives. I know, I tried. Couldn't make it work so I had to sell them.

That might be a blessing in disguise. I might be able to find a much more available $5.

I think your really risking dirty stacks with row two between the ones and the fives.

That's always my #1 concern about Golden Eagles and why I never bought any. With it having prominent white and blue, if you use any $1 that has blue and white, such as the Paris $1, it just repeats so many colors.

Cool chip in a vacuum though.

If you are going to use either $5 you should look for an alternative colored $1. The Silk black hot stamped $1 would be a great choice.

PCA secondary $5 is another great option. Any THC $5 in VG+ condition is going to cost a lot.

There are so many sets with Paris $1, Claim Stake $5, Aztar $25 that we should come up with a name to refer to the set by! :D

Some of my prior versions were along similar lines to give you ideas. The Casa $5 is another great option.

Dunno -- possibly my favorite mixed set uses Paris $1s with Golden Eagle $5s, and I've never noticed any problem.

As a matter of fact, I'd love to use them in a game with players for whom that would be a problem. Tilt City!

It's true that the red should be enough difference to prevent dirty stacks.

But thc vs rhc and spot coordination and progression doesn't help or hinder dirty stacks either and we're all quite opinionated about that.

I guess the shared colors doesn't sit right with me "on paper" - but that's ok, more Golden Eagles for everyone else!

@BigToeMike lol not much competition from me anymore. I'm almost there. I just need a few more Paris $1's, I think just 45 more. I added a tournament aurora star as a frac for now just because I got a great deal on 30 of them, but I'm not sure if they go together or if I will keep. I just freaking love how this T25 looks. The T25 is also not great in terms of edge spot progression, but I'd love some feedback.

Here is a quick pic, I haven't really done any cleaning or anything, Most of my set just came in a couple of hours ago :p
