I'm here with another maybe-bad-idea-post (last time was green $5's and fortunately I decided against that lol).
I'm building a Jack cash set and for better or worse got my hands on an AS cash sample set. I'm using relabeled Jack Snappers as my frac.

I was thinking about swapping my Jack $1's out with the AS $1's because I like them so much.
I love the edge spots/progression with the AS $1, but the Jack $1 is very clean.
Also not sure about mixing THC/RHC. Since the labels look relatively similar it might not be too bad?

Here are some comparison photos, let me know what you think:

As long as mixing RHC/THC doesn't bother you, I say go for it. That's what's most important.

I agree that the AS$1s look good there.

I think maybe if I keep the original AS labels the THC/RHC mix won't bother me as much since the labels are already slightly different.
Thanks for the input!

Another thing I've been considering if I end up using the AS $1's is swapping the Jack $25's with AS $20's. Might be tooo colorful though.

Love it!!!

Chipping should be about making yourself happy first and foremost, in my opinion.

Just do what you desire. PCAs have a mixed mold too. Whatevs

Beautiful splash pots pr0n

Visually, I prefer the Jack $1s to the AS $1s (actually, the Jack $1s are my favourites of all Jack chips), but it's not my set.
Do what makes you happier.

I think it is very close for me. They're both great looking chips.

Is that a thing?

A major advantage of building a mixed set from two other sets that you already have that you can undo it easily, whenever it suits you. It's such a luxury to be able to select chips from various sets for any particular poker night. :)

Good point. By too colorful I partially mean too painful to part with 7x the cost haha :)

Personally, I prefer the Jack's one. I like the lines for the edge spots vs the rounded edge spots. They almost seem to throw the chips off. I also feel like the white pops a bit more in the pictures that you have posted.

Ultimately, it's your decision because you will have to see these every day. Good luck with your choice.
