Just wondering who is planning to order a custom chip set from ClassicPokerChips.com AKA CPC now that JimB will be making the chips again.

Please post your comments and cast you vote.

If you have a design you been working on, please post it!

Yep, definitely ordering my Three Putt Poker black inlay tournament set and adding on to my Three Putt Poker cash set. Not sure when though. I'd like to see at least a handful or so solid orders come out first even though I know Jim and the gang are going to do a knock-out job...unlike the schmucks that ran ASM-Vegas.

I am going to get a custom set made. I would like to say right away but that isn't likely due to financial reasons so I said 6 months. Here is the thread I have started about these http://www.pokerchipforum.com/showthread.php?t=2003

Oh yeah...I forgot about these. Very nice!

Were your TPP chips from ASM-Vegas or ASM-Maine? Has there been good success for add-on chips matching the originals from others who have done it in the past? Wonder if you could send some sample chips to CPC.

I'm planning to do my Gangster Squad chips. I'll post up a pic of where the design has gone so far later today. I voted 6 months from when they open.

I'll probably be having to wait a year or more to get these done but here is the design I came up with so far:

My cash set was from ASM-Maine. I had an email drafted to ASM-Vegas for an add-on but thankfully never sent it. I think there has been some color variation between batches of clay with add-on orders but I also think it's unrealistic to expect them to be 100% exact matches between orders

I'd really like to get some customs one day. I had a couple ideas for labels but never mocked up anything yet.
Hopefully with the new owners I'll be able to get a sample set of 10 chips for under $30 shipped to Canada

You dodged a bullet there. LOL I'm quite picky when it comes to the inlay or labels. Slight chip color variation with good matching inlays would be fine with me if I was getting some add-on chips.

ASM-Vegas charged $30 to CANADA! What a rip! I re-shipped the GOCC sample set (6 chips) to saw28 for $6 or $7 via first class mail.

Yeah, the off center and yellow-ish inlays was the final straw for me. No thanks! :) I really feel bad for the folks that got screwed over by Ott the crook.

To play devil's advocate, most companies will not send anything First Class. It's usually Flat Rate Intl which is a $20 shipping fee. If you are close to the border, it might be worthwhile to ship to a border city and get it yourself. But for a sample of chips, there's no good method. Canada is just too small a market.

Are you talking a color mold sample or ten chips with the spots you want in the colors you want?

If you are just talking color sample I have one I can lend you a set for the shipping and shipping back to me.

Yeah I was just trying to get colour samples just to get a feel for the asm chips, thanks for the offer but for right now ill wait and see if the new owners put out a sample set when they get running.

Well then maybe we can share a set of new ones if there is changes I will be getting a set if there is changes

Someday I want to add on to my Monopoly set. When I designed it we only played micro stakes like .10-.25. Our games now are $1-$2 NL. I need to get 2 more racks of $5's at least.

Those Monopoly chips and links_slayer Three Put Poker chips are some of the nicest customs that I've seen. I hope to get a custom CPC set in the future. Was thinking of a guns and ammo theme among others. :)

I love those monopoly chips. If you ever get more and have sample sets I'd definitely want to buy a set from you!

I couldn't imagine giving up my chips for even the nicest custom set from the new CPC. As amazing as pretty much all of the sets I have seen are, I really love the chips I have. Not that my chips are the greatest or newest or whatever, but they serve my needs quite well. The only thing that might persuade me to sell my current sets (which is the only way I get more chips) would be some pretty fancy new colors, new molds. which would induce a fire sale of my stash to buy an epic 3 table T3k-T10k custom spotted hot stamped set.

They'd probably make a set if you got the artwork together and ordered them?

I wouldn't be that good at making artwork. I don't think MS paint will cut it. I'll start another thread and see what others can do to help.

Same ownership since the purchase was made from the evil Ott. (At least as far as I know. Same core of chip lovers since the move back to Maine)

I'm working with a designer on a custom set of chips which I hope to purchase from CPC. Still in the baby works, but since CPC is the only maker of clay composite chips, I've accelerated in hopes that my dreams of custom clay poker chips will not be lost.

after 3.5 years of Paulson degeneracy, ive ordered up a CPC color sample.

ive got many mock ups and artwork ideas, and once i collaborate with a local surfboard designer whos agreed to work on poker chip ideas (hes an AI whiz), im gonna make some sets as well.

i figure ground zero is having the color samples on hand to see what i can really create.
