First game is on the 28th. None of my crew knows. ;)

Lol. No game for two weeks but the table get set up temporarily, and the chips all come out...

Great table, I hope you win lots of games on it.

Question for @T_Chan: Isn't there like a $70 crating charge? What would it cost to ship an empty crate back? Less than $70? Can the crates be reused? I know you're not in the business of crate storage, but throwing a create or seems so wasteful

@WedgeRock Rember that shipping back burns fossil fuels and other resources. Best bet is to reuse the wood for another project locally as shipping back is potentially more resource wasteful than landfill.

well done. I love the bronze felt

I am now a big fan of the bronze also.

Initially, the order was for black SSC; however, TChan informed me that he was out and I could either wait until it was back in stock or choose from any color of SSC he currently had. Bronze won and I think I'm better off for it. :D

Regarding the wood crate: part of it is being re-purposed for shelves in my garage. The rest.... probably the back-yard fire pit.

One may view the single use of all that wood for shipping as "wasteful"; however, my point of view is that the crate served an absolutely critical purpose: the table it enclosed traveled 2000+ miles and arrived in PERFECT condition without any kind of scratch or flaw. Money well spent... wood well used.

Would you all expect anything less? :ROFLMAO:

Yes I charge a $55 crating fee (which I actually forgot to charge for this order, oops) for the materials to build the crate. Yes they can be reused but shipping the crate back is probably way more costly than the cost of the materials. I assume that when most people are done with the crate they either use it themselves as scrap wood around the house or it goes up on craigslist. I'm sure someone can get some use out of 2 nearly full sheets of plywood rather than throwing it away.

Sorry @PlaidDragon that the shipping took so long. I shipped it Monday and it took all the way until Tuesday for it to arrive =D

Oh, yes. This is a SERIOUS problem. I mean.... that I expected shipping of 3-7 days and the table shows up in ONE??!

This is going to set an unfair precedent for all other businesses out there. Perhaps even an..... "inferiority complex" on their part. Come on, T_Chan..... be fair.
