are there examples of poker rooms or bars within a larger casino, where the poker room has a different name than the casino, and the poker room name is on the chip?

Fictitious example: Big Top Poker Room, at Circus Circus.

I am looking for examples where the Big Top Big Top Poker room” part of that would be on the chip.

Can you think of any examples of this?

I ask, as it may help inform my custom design.

man I really can't think of anything. Most casinos just have a sign that says "poker room" thats it...good luck tho.

bellagio has bobby's room
aria has ivey room

though these aren't separate names for the *entire* poker room...not sure if this is along the lines of what you are asking.

Yes.

Do the chips have Bobby’s Room or Ivey Room on them? Or just Bellagio and Aria?

both casinos just have the casino name, not the poker room name on the chips, refer to chipguide. or google poker after dark chips

This is exactly what I plan to do when I go custom. Each set will be "name" at PPP, or at the Parlour.

There are some casinos that have “poker” on some denomination chips but not others. I don’t think that is what you are looking for though.

Interesting, chipping minds think alike. I also have planned to use this concept for a second chipset for my Magnolia C&C. The design has been in the works for a while, it will be called the "Gardenia Room at the Magnolia"

My idea is that I want my chips to be called “Cabin Tavern”. But I have a very strong desire to use the B-Mold. So I was wondering if “Cabin tavern, at Basecamp” would work :)

Sure, why wouldn't it work? There are no rules, and the thing about customs is they have meaning for the owner. I say, go for it! (y)

Is the room at Venitian called "Sands"?
I think they still have Sands printed on the cards as a tribute to the hallowed ground where they reside. Not entirely sure about the room name

This reminded me of the Stones Gambling Hall chips -- they have both The Saloon Poker Room and The Tavern Card Room, with slightly different chips although the chips just say "The Tavern" or "The Saloon," not Poker Room. (I don't know what the facility is like in person, whether or not they're both in the same building, etc.

Yes, it would. In my fictional gaming stronghold, The Armory is where general gaming occurs. The Cavalry Club at The Armory is more for seasoned vets & higher stakes. If it wasn't such a mouthful, I wouldn't have hesitated to go with "The Cavalry Club at The Armory" on a chip, but there's only so much landscape. I settled for the design below instead.

Casablanca aruba had the tournament chips that had "the poker room" instead of Casablanca.

The Aladdin had "the London club" for baccarat

All I can think of

I got to thinking about this some more. At one point, a Las Vegas casino had a Jamie Gold Poker Room. You should make some custom chips with that on there somewhere.

My Heraldry Room set was designed for a poker room inside a larger private club with a different name.

Trop -- it lasted seven months. Sort of like Jamie's popularity, come to think of it.

Not "instead of" -- they did say "At the Casablanca Casino" twice, around the periphery.

Thanks for pointing that out, I am sure that is the case with most, Margaritaville has Flamingo, London club has Aladdin mold. The Bank or playboy club had palms, pleasure pit has planet Hollywood, and not sure but o'sheas probably has linq.

They have poker at Oriole Park now?

Oriole Park is the stadium. Camden Yards is the old railway station next door...

Not that I am aware of. Just trying to come up with other examples. I think the OP can/should go ahead with the idea, even if there is little/no casinos doing it with their poker rooms. Just trying to give some other proof that its an accepted practice.

In that regard, didn't it also use to be The Ballpark at Arlington? Now its some corporate sponsor bullshit.

Or, for those very privileged few...The Residences, at The Lofts, at SoDoSoPa.

Jokes aside, this can be done but its difficult to make it look seamless, IMO. I like the idea, just seems hard to pull off well.
