...And there goes my Marraige (and my wallet) (2 Viewers)

For your consideration:

Personally I would steer clear of a giant RED graphic. It will dominate the playing surface and the color will make players eyes "tired". I had a big bright graphic on a table once and had to recover the damn thing after soo many complaints. My 2¢ FWIW

But it ties in nicely to the Neon look.

She is such a nice woman; sure gonna miss her! :D

I like red, but only if you get rid of the red cards you use. I don't like the felt matching the cards. Grey looks too dreary for my eyes. I like bolder colors.

I have a table with a red felt (cheapo used suited rail table), and this is my main complaint. If I can ever figure out how to gracefully take it apart, it'll be recovered in something more neutral. My favourite decks are red/blue, and the red cards really match my current table, especially the red EPT cards I have. For a felt, the grey works well, as cards and chips will not blend into it.

Yet another mockup. Any thoughts on this variation? Thoughts on the dif color bike in the center logo? Also, Woody is trying to eliminate the lint isse with black felt by putting a pattern in it.m thoughts?

I was going to do a red bike on black just like that, but I got too lazy. I really think it works really well. The pattern is nice too (though it might need a tweak if it reads "70s couch" at full size). This is the first one where I can really see the tire tread, and it's awesome.

Biggest nitpick left might be the fonts. The hard corners on the "Madison, WI" clash with the rounded "FAT TIRE POKER". For the "FAT TIRE POKER" text the F and E letter shapes look a little crowded on the left and right sides, too. The center logo is fine though, which is weird. Might not be a problem at full size.

Latest update looks great! Please post pics once you finished the build. Ah, FT, the last time I got completely plastered was drinking FT...

REALLY like this new one. What about changing the "fat tire poker" print and either end of the table to white to balance the logo?

Latest one looks sick. I might have to steal some of these design ideas depending on how I like the sample Tony sends me.

They say imitation is the highest form of flattery.

And the sample is in the mail.

That last one looks amazing! Steve I think I'm going to need to hire you to make the Gangster Squad one! Pending my sample from Tony I'll probably be contacting you soon to see if you're interested in designing it for me!

You know with a table like that, the chips have to match.... Just sayin:)

Or possibly changing the background color in the center logo to a light gray to match the text? Not sure I like super high contrasting things in the center of a poker table? If we went with a gray background, it might soften it up a tad. I also think the betting area pattern needs some attention, but otherwise, it's a sic design!

Still prefer blue (and I'm a big gray/charcoal guy), but this one looks pretty good. I think I'd ditch the extra FAT TIRE POKER text on the ends, it will look a lot classier. (And extending the circles outward on each end to be equi-distance from the betting line will fill up some of the blank space).

Yes, this is really looking good... I lean towards BG's suggestion of striking the end text.

Also, just a crazy thought - the two points are making me think of wheel hubs and gear sprockets. Would that be overdoing the theme?

Or how about the betting line being made of bicycle chain?

Just throwing it out there...

If the betting line is tire tread, then bicycle chain links are the perfect image for the repeated pattern in the center section....

Both of these ideas FTW

the circle is replaced with a subtle cog/gear, and the scrolls should be bike chains? Or possibly the scrolls be tire tread, and the betting line is bike chain? Nice!

Hey! Post #22![emoji6]

The table builder I'm working with just had a happy customer post his work on a local FB page. Here's the table! Sharp, but I think the LED's are too bright, so I'm glad Chanman will be crafting me an aluminum diffuser to soften the light.

They might look really bright in the photo but I've found that when taking a picture the lights look way brighter than they actually are. Regardless, an aluminum diffuser will look nice and reduce the glow if it is too bright.

Nice looking build tri. You can also dim the led's. I got the same super night led's for the table I am building.

Tony, I hope to have the artwork ready within the next couple weeks.

Can't wait to see how cards slide on the sample you sent :).

Playing around with a few more design ideas
