In for one sample set, please.

The GO chip swirl inlay looks awesome.

1 set please.

i don't know if it's possible, but if you can swing getting all the sample chips sent to me, especially if they could come from CPC, I would mail them for you to the U.S. people. Mailing them to Germany and back is an expensive and time consuming step if you could avoid it it would be good.

Of course it would make sense. Thanks for the offer Jeff. I will ask David if CPC is willing to do this.
I will come back to you.

I like the clean look of the edge spots and that "year of" chip is pretty amazing. I'm in for one sample set.

I would bump my samples to two if this happens.(probably do it anyway)

David came back to me. Splitting is very difficult with 4 different people working on the order and with 30 orders in production at any time there could easily be a mistake made. So I'm against splitting at CPC.

But we could send the total order to a US address, take out chips for the sample sets and reship (<- very important :D ) the other chips to me. It would be a massive tease for me, but I'm fine with it. Postage from CPC to me or Jeff to me is the same. If Jeff agrees to do the bunch of work, we might have a solution.

One sample set is $13,
plus $35 (divided x persons who will receive their sets from Jeff) CPC->Jeff,
plus x S&H Jeff->you.

It may be cheaper for the US guys. Maybe for Canada and Australia, too.

I get to open your chips and roll around in them before I send the off to you. I'll wipe the DNA off, I swear!

All kidding aside, I'd be happy to do it. The Chiptalk thread will have to be squared away, too.

Please be responsible and use protection. As long as your body is covered in mineral oil while doing this, no big deal. ;)

So far we have also a Canadian and Australien on board. Could you handle these, too?
I need to know shipping cost for US, Can and Aus to collect the money. Don't forget to add a little extra for package material.

Jeff posting Pats porn before Pat would be hilarious

Not sure if I would survive this. Seeing all my chips and knowing that they're at least for 2-3 weeks in customs before I get my own hands on my babies.

My research and suggestion from the USPS site...I could ship from Illinois to:
Australia - USPS Priority Mail International Padded Flat Rate Envelope is $24.75
Canada - USPS Priority Mail International Padded Flat Rate Envelope is $20.55
US - USPS Priority Mail Padded Flat Rate Envelope is $6.10. I don't know if it matters which zip code in the US it goes to for cost, I do believe the timing changes.

People who are more expert at working the system might have another suggestion as far as how to ship, but with with what I listed, the envelopes are provided by USPS. Securing the chip in the package shouldn't require any supplies I don't have.

You would need to figure out how you'd like your big box of chips shipped and work that out. USPS, UPS, FEDEX, DHL, etc.

People would need to pay you via friends to eat the costs, but you need to gross up the paypal amount to take into consideration paypal fees sending the money to me. 2.9% plus $.30. I don't know if there's any cost with currency exchange with paypal. Does anyone know?

I think that's all, but if anyone else can think of something, please suggest.

If you would prefer just to receive the chips and mail to everyone else, that would be understandable, the whole idea of me opening your chips before you is sort of like a sick chipper nightmare "Droit du Seigneur" (where the local lord took the virginity of the feudal women on their wedding night) and it make me feel weird too. People will just have to suck it up and pay for postage from Germany if you'd like to change your mind.

Thanks for looking it up Jeff. I was bit lost at the USPS website.
My PP account is splitted in an Euro and USD section, so I can receive USD without cost for currency exchange.

So for Canada and Australia it's cheaper if I send the chips. US will be $13 chips + $6.10 shipping + $35/US participants. So right now we are at $22.
We would need more US participants or find a cheaper US shipping method to make it reasonable.
Are my thoughts right?

To ship my chips home a large international flat rate box would be the best. ~$85 USPC. CPC use these, too.

Yes, you're calculations are correct. At best, you're looking at saving a couple of dollars per person. Even if you got 35 people, you're going to be at $20.10 at best, plus you have to gross up for the extra paypal.

You should be able to mail six chips CONUS to CONUS for around $3 total -- 57c for small bubble envelopes from WalMart (singles or 10-pack) plus around $2.50 postage. I use blue painter's tape to adhere the chips to cardboard stock (index card material, cut to fit inside the envelope) which prevents chip movement during transit.

How should we proceed? Jeff can you verify that you can ship this way?

Pat,
BG is ninja and all knowing, so I'm sure he is right. I will go to the post office with a bubble wrap envelope and chips (1 set, two sets 3 sets) and have them weigh and confirm. I will post tomorrow what costs are.
