You are straddling utg to 20 in a 5t plo game. 1st position limps, 1 more player limps, and an ultra tight thinking player raises to 75 in late position. Folds to you with 68tjr. (You call, utg calls)

Flop 678cc. You're first to act. Wwyd?

well I wouldn't straddle Utg to $20 in PLO because Im a pussy, and I certainly wouldn't call the $75 with that crap hand because I don't hate money. That said, after the flop and turn it looks nice at this point. I think I lead out for $220, and fold to a raise, because nits always have the freaking nuts.

I'm glad Chippy said this. I didn't think I was being too nitty for thinking it.

Tight players seldom pot pre and when they do their hands are fairly polarized. When this happens, I love calling pre with just about anything given that my hand is still in mystery town. I sorta don't like the TJ as many favorable flops will overlap with nit's holdings but this has gone as well as expected. If nit has AA77 or something similar so be it but while underboats tend to get you in a bear trap, this hand doesn't feel that way. I would lead turn for $275.

Never folding pre as the straddler. Lead $150 on flop (note: if any more than 3 players, I check/evaluate.) $275 on turn sounds good maybe a little more if 3 clubs (flop is cc, turn is "2nd" club???)

So hero bets 300 and gets a slow tank call. And the fun starts on the river... 6!

Declare a bet size and defend. Go!

Pot - looks fishier after smallish flop and turn bets, and I don't see on what basis he can call a smaller bet but not a full pot bet here (other than just general nittiness - very possible, but your guess is better than mine as to where his line might be.)

Agree with Ben. Pot that pot. Your hand seems polarized here. Hope he has AA88 and trapped himself to oblivion. If you check, being a nit he should check behind.
