Hey folks. Took a few years off from poker but I've been slowly starting to play a bit again. Found the site while doing some research trying to find a nice casino quality chip set for my office/home games and found WAY more info than I thought I was going to. Having a blast browsing around here and checking out all the custom sets.

Welcome. There definitely are some crazy custom sets around here.

Welcome to the forums. Feel free to list your wants/budget/type(s) of games/etc. and we can lend you some advice (other than "get samples first")

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone.

Picked up a small cash set of Horseshoe Cleveland that I just need to round out with some quarters and probably some more $1s. That will hold me for quite a while until I get the urge to do a custom set. I think if my regular home game becomes a bit more common I may go down that route.

It always amazes me when someone names a NJ town that I've never even heard of -- like Union Beach!

And I grew up in Edison, later lived in Forked River, Princeton -- more than half my life.
Happens to me all the time as well. You can thank Http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boroughitis for that.

Union Beach is at the northern tip of the shore. By Keyport, Keansburg, Hazlet, Holmdel, Middletown, etc.

Yeah, I had looked it up right away. And I've probably ridden a bike right through Union Beach on 36. One of my uncles used to own a charter boat out of Atlantic Highlands.

Plus I worked at Bell Labs Holmdel for a while.

This small world is sometimes surprisingly vast. Or half-vast.

Welcome, from exit 132 ;)
