Good stuff. Those spotted $1s are hard to beat. Playing there tilts me beyond belief, though, with the mix of Paulson and BJ chips on the table at the same time :)....well, that and the fact that every dealer I've had there has the personality of a damp mop.

I like the mix of $5 chips at the Flamingo. The 2 versions of $5 BJ chips are decent and I think it's cool that there are so many varieties of $5 Paulsons.

It's interesting to see how people respond. Some probably never notice while others sort the Paulson & BJ separately. Some even further sort the Paulson by type.

I will admit that the rarely seen $1 BJ chip makes me uncomfortable.

I am close to completing a set of all $5 Flamingo chips that have been issued.
I still need "60 Years Ago - 1940's" and "2006 Year of the Dog".
Also 3 different Flamingo Hilton $5's.
The oversized Pink NCV is pretty cool.

Epic! And well done on the run at all $5. Will issue BOLO.

If you ever want to sell 50 spotted birds, I'm your guy. ;)

nice chips! I stayed/played at the Flamingo while I was in Vegas this January. I enjoyed the poker room, found the dealers friendly enough (every room has their exceptions), and the players were a good mix of grinders and social players (fish). I'm sure I was one of the fish (lol). I played a number of rooms while there, and although my experience was limited to one 4-day weekend, I enjoyed the Flamingo most. It was my most consistently profitable room, and it was where I was staying (convenience). Major points were docked for not having a convenient restroom nearby tho.

I loved the many different red-birds, even though the mix of manufacturers kinda sent my chip OCD on mini-tilt. I think the different $1's bothered me more, since the reds were just a mess (I ignored them), but the $1's would be a nice stack of pretty blue non-spotted chips, with 1 or 2 spotted in there... It wasn't a deal breaker for me tho.

Very nice!! Thanks for the pics. I absolutely love those spotted ones as well.

^^love this blurry pic. That's a nice boatload of minty chips!

tapatalking ...

That's a cool pic...thanks. I haven't had the chance to see a casino wheeling around a shat ton of chips like that before.

2012. Minty racks arriving. Still in the cardboard boxes. Count 'em up.

What are the chances of getting some of those minty $1 Flamingo chips these days?

If you're looking for the solid ones, pretty decent.

I was in Vegas roughly a month ago and I found a few sharp $1s here and there.

What about the spots? aren't they still in play?

They are (in very small quantity), but the quality will make you sad. It is not the WORST, but I did not find a single semi-sharp one.

Minty spotted you probably have zero chance. The spotted chipswith no bird came out in 2004 and were updated to the spotted bird in 2010. The spotted birds were replaced in 2011 with the solid blue with birds. So any spotted chip you find will be between 6 to 13 years old.

This is my favorite chip!

Last summer, it took four of us over a weekend to get one rack of spotted, with maybe 15% birds. We were shamelessly hitting cages, bribing to get chips, and harvesting across the entire poker room + table games. The Flamingo well is pretty dry. Fun times with @Mr. Cheese !

I get it. You got most of the good ones and we are left with the scraps. Now I have to find the next best thing. But I really like those $1s. Congrats.

Maybe the light blue Paris $1?

A decent replacement but not many $1's that can compare!

I wish mine were Mint. Most anything you find will be good edges and will stand on edge.
Also I am sure there are many other chippers with a bunch but they just have not come out the woodwork.

Post #11 made me wish I was there at that time but then I remembered! In 2012 those would have been the solid chips with birds and no spots. The spotted chips were replaced in 2011. :(
