I am looking at ultra light weight, highly portable guerilla table top solutions.

Was wondering who'd had recent experiences with table toppers, who the current vendors are, and who you rate...

I'm thinking roll up neoprene, custom cut but open to suggestions. I have kids and a long commutevto work, so a build project is not on the cards for me. Looking at OTS solutions. :)

Who's currently operating and producing decent product?

Thanx

I'd be interested in hearing opinions on the best options as well. I'm currently using some foam and SSC, no room for a table in my tiny apartment :(

i bought this one in blue back when they were a bit cheaper. durable as all hell - i bought it as an in-a-pinch solution, but never used it. instead it gets thrown on our circular breakfast table when kids do crafts or use play doh or paints or clay or whatever else we'd prefer not stain or scratch the table.

it looks like someone eight pounds of lucky charms marshmallows and took a mean shit on it now, but no rips after a few years of use.

the old chiptalk ovals are great and they were made using the same sourcing as this topper here which is available in a range of colors. if you're looking for an oval topper and want the chiptalk one, i would send it over to you for the cost of postage. it's in a long rectangular box (see below), though, so maybe shipping would be high over the pond? i wouldn't really know. i've used it once, MAYBE twice, so it's still in pristine condition, though out of the plastic wrap seen below.

The chip talk toppers are awesome. Sadly I lent mine to someone and don't remember who

Thanks, Jack. You've reminded me that I was eligible for a CT topper after I became a lifetime sponscer. I never took it up as, like you say, shipping was high. Have you got the dimensions/ approx weight? I'd be interested in getting a shipping quote, if it's not too much hassle? Thanks for the offer!

I stumbled across Discount Casino Gear in the thread from a few years back. Good that they're still selling them. Thanks for the link to the round.

There's a UK member on PCF who found a domestic vendor - I've pinged him to see who that was.

Brybelly list round neoprene toppers on amazon.co.uk but shipping is over $100. :(

Those generic oval toppers can typically be found online (and occasionally on eBay) for $39 with free shipping.

They weren't surfacing on eBay UK until I realised that I was on the Chrome mobile browser site. So many mobile sites are baaaaaaaad

6' roll out poker table <-- this is a US seller who ships my way.

Btw is there a PCF table topper?

In the UK you can buy the Brybelly toppers from Poker Shop Europe (either on eBay or direct). Cost is about £42 including delivery. I got one and it's absolutely fine - cards slide nicely.

I just recently purchased this one http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007N3RU82/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'll be honest it works pretty nicely. It fits perfectly on my table. My only complaint was I wish it was just slightly thicker. But I don't think it would lay perfectly flat if it were.

X2 - I have one of these as well that I occasionally use when we play outside on the deck and I'm not in mood to lug my table out of the basement. They work OK, but the padding is thin and a little too firm, it can sometimes be difficult to pick up your cards. The edges on one end of mine doesn't lay 100% flat either.

I'd love to hear a comparison opinion from someone who's played on both one of these and a poker hoody.

Mine seems to lay flat. Though I do agree I wish it had more thickness. I sometimes put a thin blanket under it but that kinda compromises its ability to "stick" to the table.

I'd love to hear from someone that has one that may be thicker that works just as well. I wouldn't mind getting another one with some thickness to it.

I have used my CT Topper many, many times when I could not use my Poker Table and really like it. Starting to show some wear now though.

I have 4 of the roll up table toppers, and a poker hoody. I have 3 tables. On 2 of them, I bought a 2mm black neoprene pad, then I put a neoprene topper on then. It's nice to have the double padding, and protects my wife's dining and kitchen tables. On the 3rd table, I use a rubber rug holder, covered with the hoody. I don't cinch the hoody, and then I put a table topper on top of that, though the hoody could be played without the topper. I found cinching the hoody on my 8 ft oval table top was not that easy. It didn't lay flat, but the rug holder underneath works fine to hold it in place.

I really like the neoprene. It wears very well, and is washable. I got a 3 ft dow rod (2" diameter) and roll the topper around that, put it in the bag, and it's ready to go to a game or ready for storage until my next game. The cardboard tubes they come with might be OK, but some are very flimsy. It's easy to take 2 or 3 to a game. It's a great solution; much better than a folding top of some kind, and much smoother.

They come in green, black, royal blue, and red. I don't use my red one as I found it hard on my eyes in the light we have.

I typically use my CT table-topper on top of a piece of 1/4" closed cell foam (Happy Bottom pool liner, custom cut to fit the topper dimensions). Both topper and foam roll up together and slide easily into a camping chair bag with closure drawstring and carry strap for storage and/or transportation:

I have one of those 72" toppers shown and it works great. I take that on my camping trips. I wish I could find a 96" topper.

@jbutler - have you still got the CT one? Interested in a shipping quote if you still gave / can part with if, so I can weigh up against a local-ish acquisition...

It's yours with shipping on me but downside is you'd have to wait until late June when I'm done with the move.

Fawesome. I might be able to play some poker by then, the new house might be in order!

Should I send to your address in the Shire or should I send to a new one by late June/early July?
