Background: About five years ago I purchased a set of hot-stamped Super Diamond chips as a leave-them-in-the-trunk-of-the-car travel set. Technically, I purchased both a set of non-stamped Super Diamonds and a set of stamped Super Diamonds. I was not at all impressed with the non-stamped chips, but the stamped chips seemed to be different chips entirely and much better quality (which turned out well for me as I needed the stamped denominations more any way). I have lost a bunch of my stamped chips and need to buy replacements. I cannot remember exactly where I originally purchased my stamped chips -- I think that it may have been from DiscountCasinoGear. But it appears that DCG does not have much of a selection of Super Diamonds any more.

So, where do I buy stamped Super Diamonds today? A Google search revealed several stores that sell stamp-able Super Diamonds (and the pictures look like the version that is better quality -- although I am not sure how to tell if they really are the better quality SDs). But other than DCG (which does not have enough colors in stock), I have not found any stores that appear to actually do the stamping as well as selling the chips. (Maybe I am just not understanding the store interfaces well enough to figure out how to both buy the chips and specify what I want stamped on them before sending them to me).

If there are no stores that actually sell the chips AND do the stamping, then if I buy the chips from store "A" where do I get them stamped??

Bonus question - Is there any way to determine if the version of the Super Diamonds that various stores are selling are actually the high-quality versions?

I know that SDs are not the top-of-the-line chips, but they are perfect for my need (and my budget for this purpose). If I had unlimited time, I would probably finally dye the thousands of Faux Clays that I got way back when, but even if I did, I still need a way to get the denominations on the chips and am right back to my original dilemma.

Thanks for any help that you can provide.

I'm pretty sure I remember reading somewhere that PGI sells super diamonds that you can stamp.

Spinettis.com should be able to help you.

Thank you for the pointer.

Although, I do see that Spinettis does have Super Diamonds, I do not see any way to order the hot stamp from Spinettis ( http://www.spinettisgaming.com/8.5-Gr.-Diamond-Plain-Poker-Chips/ ). I did send them an email to inquire though. Also, cannot really tell from the photos on their site if these are the "good" Super Diamonds.

Thank you for the pointer. Unfortunately, I could not find Super Diamonds at all on the PGI site. Would you happen to have a direct link?

Yeah, that's the rub with Super Diamonds in my experience. You never know which version you are going to get. The good ones are very good, IMO. The bad ones....well, you know.

Agree with this, there are too many varities. They were my first set and I ended up with 3 different kinds.
