Hello, just checking in...I love poker chips almost as much as AR-15s.

I sold my only "real chips" Nevada jacks last year and have been playing with the dreaded dice chips. I got 2 new 500 chip sets in cases for $25. I told myself as long as I was still playing cards. Yeah, don't lie to yourself.

So I ordered a cheap set of Showdowns to ease back toward owning "real chips".

I think my next baby step will be Milanos...what say you?

Milanos are nice chips. They were my first real poker chip purchase. However the mold doesn't run deep into the chips at all and over time may start to disappear. The Championship Poker Series should also be very nice. They're produced on an entirely new mold and are WSOP Main Event replicas; we have a lot of members here to thank for them. There are a few other China clay lines that you could check out such as the Pharoahs, Dunes, and Desert Palms. Below is a picture of all three just to get you started.

Don't forget that if you have any question about breakdowns or anything else to ask. We've got a lot of poker chip gurus here who are always happy to help.

Welcome to PCF!

Wecome to the forum. Baby steps? If you signed up here you've pretty much forgone the whole baby step notion. But I will offer you some fellow newby advice. If you're buyin new. Take a realistic look at how many chips you actually need as opposed to how many chips you want, plan your breakdown so you can add-on later, choose a popular and widely available chip.

If you have to have a bunch of chips, buy used from any of the forum members... It's the easiest way to get the quality chips for your money. These guys don't buy poor quality chips and put lots of research into their buying decisions... You can reap the rewards by watching the classifieds.

Okb

Thanks guys. In the AR-15 world we call it BRD (black rifle disease) building them is like Legos for adults.

I already want two or three sets I've seen, plus a set of customs for the house...and a set of customs for deer camp and ice fishing camp...

Shit...I'm screwed.

The first step is admitting you have a problem.

The second step is posting pictures.

This obviously would do nothing but slow you down. You'd just have to chisel at that sucker when you found new chips that you wanted.

Sledge Hammer...you're not swiping that thing and I can put a puzzle together!

Zero.

Just a step father who had a gun shop and was a cop.
