I was going to use Garden City $1s but now I'm thinking of using Even Stevens $1s as Sahara quarters. I think the color of the Sahara $1 is plenty different. What do you thinK?

It will look fine as long as the trees are color matched to the blue spots rather than the monochromatics one would use to run off the white base. It would work fine.

You mean like the $500?

That 500 looks amazing! When do I get a complete sample set of those Sahara's Tommy??? ;)

To answer your question I think they will look great using the white ES as the quarters.

Are gray and white to close to each other here? I would choose the blue garden city.

Any chance for some side by side comparison shots?

Quick pic with my tablet. I think the pink spots really helps set the gray chips apart.

It should be fine. Under bright light they look closer than in a dim lit room. The edge spots are a dead giveaway but to further the differences the inlay should stick out like a sore thumb being smaller than the super giants.

I think having a label that blends into the white base (like the $500) might be better so the the inlay looks larger.

I think it would work, but I'm not thrilled. Chips should thrill me. The Even Stevens are like watching the movie "Soylent Green" after you already know it's people. It's not bad, just... meh.

Haha hey now my Gangster Squad chips are relabeled Even Stevens :p

Sorry, I meant a side by side comparison of the Sahara's vs. the Even Steven's (splashed pot, stacks, etc.).

Regardless of the inlay and/or spots I still don't think I'd put a gray chip and a white chip so close to each other in a set. JMHO.
