Going to AT&T Stadium this Sunday with the CLB and am beyond excited. Just printed my tickets from StubHub. I was ready to give up on these clowns but they brought me around via coming back from deficits, protecting leads, playing smashmouth defense and running the ball - basically the things they last did in 2007 and before that in 1995.

Anyone else here going to the game on Sunday or in the Dallas area? We're staying in Arlington, getting in Friday night and looking for places to eat, drink, and be merry. I've heard the West End was nice and I think we're staying in the Entertainment District (not sure if this is the same thing).

At least Dallas's QB won't have to worry about being stepped on by Suh... ;) He had his suspension coming. Rat bastard!

Good thing you couldn't find a casino that had set their wins at under 7, or you may not be able to afford this trip.

concur..........and I'm a Lions fan. I won't be horribly sad if he doesn't resign with us tbh.

That's awesome, have fun at the game! My Ravens limped into the playoffs, but I would never have the cajones to go to a game in Pittsburgh.

if the game were in detroit, berg would basically have two options:

(1) drink so much that his body is immune from the pain of the inevitable beat down his big mouth brings upon him; or
(2) bring his wife who will prevent him from drinking an amount which starts the big mouth running, thereby preventing said beat down.

You weren't there when I stood up in the Mohegan Sun poker room and screamed "SUCK IT PHILLY" after the Redskins upset them. I would absolutely get involved in general melee in Detroit and probably wouldn't go. A big part of the appeal of going to Dallas for this is that I've actually never watched a playoff game around other Cowboys fans.

CLB is going with me, so she'll quell the imbibing of beers somewhat, but like Jordan is in his prime, you can't stop me, you can only hope to contain me.

Please post "best of" CLB quotes and her bemused yet humiliated-to-be-with-this-tard pic. I predict 3rd quarter is her breaking point. :p

I think Dallas fans are a little calmer than some fans like Detroit and Philly.

We're going to the Rally Day Saturday where I'll act like a 12 year old and want pictures of me with their 5 Super Bowl trophies and laying on the midfield star. During the game, they stop serving beer at the end of the 3rd quarter. It's going to be a close game and I bet $400 on the Lions getting 7, hoping that Dallas wins but by less than 7 so I get emotional and financial win (but lock up at least one of the two).

I'm basically going to be unbearable.

If I get divorced, can I live at Club Courage and grind the $1/1 game for a living?

Noelsarchs is also in Dallas, but not for the game. Just eating and drinking with other chippers and also his GF.

Grats on a great game. I am sure the crowd was remarkable the last 150 seconds of the game but the first half must have been painful.

DrStrange

First quarter was rough, but they gave us hope with the long run and catch from Terrance Williams. They came out really tentative on offense and defense and Detroit capitalized on it.

At the half I told my wife that every single thing went wrong for us and we were only down 10. If we got the ball back in the 2nd half without Detroit scoring, I liked our chances.

Crowd got VERY LOUD in the 2nd half. They had a decibel meter on the big screen and it was regularly above 110db. I loved seeing Stafford take 2 delay of game penalties and the Lions taking 2 false starts.

The über controversial call didn't look that controversial live - they threw a flag and picked it up. Calls were going against Dallas the entire second half so it sorta felt like vindication. The replay on the big screen looked like offensive pass interference.

I told my wife that the Cowboys would stop the Lions in the 4th, come down and score a TD to go up 24-20, and then dear sweet Jesus I have no idea if we can hold them.

The sack and fumble was a heartbreaker. I was still lamenting the lost opportunity when Lawrence strip-sacked Stafford and recovered it to seal the win. It's at this point I lost my voice and started just pointing at the field and grunting at my wife.

She was AWESOME! First game ever, and she was yelling, screaming, waving her Cowboys towel, the works. On the walk back to the hotel, she was asking me if we could come down once a year - "YOU BETCHA!!!"

Most satisfying sports win ever - so happy we went down there. She's already looking forward to watching the game this Sunday with me. Incredible to watch a game with other Cowboys fan - never experienced that for a playoff games in 35 years.

Day before (Sat) was a Rally Day. For $25 you get field access, kick field goals, throw a ball around (and they sell you one for $30) and can visit the press room, locker room, and the Miller Lite bar where the players run out before the game.

Stadium is amazing. Not a bad seat in the house - our seats where high but on the 50 yard line and best of both worlds - big screen with high def and the game right in front of us.

Pics from the Rally Day - was a great experience to have free roam in the field. I played catch with the wife for about 15 minutes.

CLB's first Waffle House - great experience until the older gentleman next to me started expousing that we adopt Communism, change the national language to Arabic, and broadcast al Jazeer straight from the Middle East instead of NBC, ABC, and CBS.

Doug Free's locker is remarkably not offsides:

I have some videos of throwing CLB 15 yard TDs. Dunno if I can post them here. She dives for one and then throws up the Dez Bryant X. We had a good time:

Looks like a great trip. I go to Ralph Wilson twice a year and never make it onto the field...

Don't get me wrong - Rally Day was about Jerry Jones making money off AT&T Stadium...but if you don't think I dropped a bomb in the Pro Shop after Rally Day and again after the game....suffice to say that my wife has 2 Witten jerseys now (and had zero when we landed)....plus all the things I got.

Regardless, awesome experience. If your local Stadium has an NFL team and offers something similar - do it, it's great.

Berg, so happy for you and delighted you got to share the awesome day with CLB. You're in Cowboys heaven. Good luck in the next game. You're almost making me root for you lol.

Absolutely shocked that there were no on line prop bets offered for Throwing distance and Field Goal Distance

CLB catching, me kicking (toed it from 25 yards, hit the crossbar)

Cha Ching!!!!! I would have cashed on this one:p

Glad you guys had fun. See you in Arizona!

I shudder to think how much would've been wagered if the HDK was with me instead of the CLB (assuming, of course, that HDK actually existed). We would've been laying hundos on the field and scooping then up while cackling.

It's weird - I was either straight and short or really long but way left. I don't have it down yet but I could spend an hour just kicking (only tried 5, hit zero but there is something to it that I'm missing).

Paging Bergs, are you still around? What sayeth you to a wager?
My brother says that you never shy away from a bet.
I offer the following: Loser sends winner 2 chips per point difference (10 chips minimum) from our personal stash. Any chips the loser chooses, no restrictions on which ones. Winner has the right to publicly humiliate loser if they are dice chips or similar!
