Hey everyone!

relative chip and poker table newbie. Started getting into chips about six months ago, but have since amassed a couple of respectable sets, and constructed 10+ poker tables. (I'm a quick study).

my sets include a 1000 chip Paulson casino set of mesquite stars (using Benny's for $1), and 1500 Milanos. I have frequented other chip and poker forums, but look forward to getting to know new friends and chatting with old friends in this great forum.

I'm also in the process of decorating and outfitting my man cave with poker/game themed items as well as a few tasteful neon signs.

Welcome to PCF. Great chips, great tables, and the cave looks fantastic. What are you using to store your chips in? I like the draws.

Custom ordered cherry drawers. Specifically for my chips. I have two drawers installed, but have another two on order. So I will have four total for chips.each holds 1800 chips.

They are really nice. Not sure if I can afford custom storage. I've been looking at these barrister book shelves.

http://www.bindertek.com/barbook.html

not including the cabinet (existing). The drawers were around $200 shipped (for two), including all, hardware and super heavy duty soft close full extension slides. I ordered them as beefy as I could to support 1800 chips, which added to the cost.

That's not bad then. The stain looks like is a perfect match.

Welcome! Everything looks great (the tables, man cave, chips etc!). What part of WI are you in? I live in MN but I've got a shop in Hudson WI (western border of WI).

SC Wisconsin... Thanks for the compliments

Didnt do anything but natural cherry finish. Ya, price was decent, but wife still thinks it was a waste of money, lol

More pics of my man cave, foosball, 7.1 surrounds, and chips

Looks great! What size cans and what type of bulbs/trims did you use?

Its that a wet or dry bar...its hard to tell from the pic.

6" cans with basic flood bulbs for now.

Dry bar. As a wetbar would have required massive llumbing renovations.

Ah OK. Adding the plumbing for my wet bar and bathroom won't be too hard. On the back side of each is the unfinished portion of the basement and all the plumbing is right there. The hardest part will be running the vents up an inside wall to the attic and tapping into an existing vent already going through the roof.

Your lights have a nice spread and look nice and bright. I'm using 9.5w one piece LED/Baffle/Trim bulbs in my 6" cans.

I tested them and it gave me a better idea on how many I will need to have a well lit room when I need it.

very nice bulbs. I'm tempted to go LED, but the floods work ok. I typically dim them and the wall sconces way down when hosting poker night. The neons are bright enough almost.

the plumbing rough was on the opposite side of the basement with no way to connect without digging/trenching into the floor. We did add a full bathroom with nice tiled shower.

Tiled showers are nice. I plan on doing that for the upstairs bathroom when I remodeling it. For the basement shower I went with a Sterling 48-in x 34-in Ensemble kit and a frame-less door. Probably will do a tile border around it.

The shower looks great. Love the built in shelves. Is the counter tiled too?

Photo tour of my man cave

Pics of my workout room, Have tatami martial arts mats down, and unfortunately a poker table in the middle. I used rope lighting in a lowered crown molding recess to uplight. I have every light on a dimmer.

I may use this room for my next poker tournament. It's adjacent to my main room, has a wall mounted tv, audio, and plenty of space for a full sized table.

I used outdoor slate sconces for the main room... Pricey, but we fell in love with them. Created built in bars/cabinets in existing alcoves. Used rope lighting for up/down lighting.

Stair hand rail, I routed out a channel and installed dimmable rope lighting, which is invisible from above.

Foosball table is a Valley Tornado Industrial coin op unit. Love commercial quality! Plugged the coin slot so its free, but ya still have to rack the mech to get balls. ;)

Audio is primarily Paradigm. Shown are my Titan main speakers, the omni bi-directional theater surrounds, and the rear sub.

Wow...everything looks great. What's the sq ft down there? Mine is 1360 sq ft but I am only finishing 3/4 of it. Laundry and workbench area will stay unfinished.

We have 1400+ sq ft basement, only finished 1100 sq ft. I need to find a diagram of the layout and post that! Full on 9 ft ceilings. Very happy with how it turned out. Includes; 20x15 workout room, 20x15 storage room, 14x15 bedroom, full bath, large rec area.

Very nice. I made this one with the updated layout. Scale is not exact but close. Bathroom is 6x8.

Wife purchased this artwork... Odd since she can't stand poker or chess

That looks really nice. Now do you have the chips to fill it up? :)

He's got everything else Tommy. I'm sure he does lol. Nice cabinet.

...um. Unfortunately I do not have the chips to fill it up. Even if you count my set of 1000 wheatear composite chips. The drawers hold 1800 comfortably. However in a pinch, I could get 2000 chips per drawer, but I would involve two racks placed sideways (not ideal)

so, at 1800 per drawer, that's 7200 chips. I'm not there yet. 1500 Milanos. 1000 Paulson Mesquite mixed set. 1000 wheatears. 300 dice chips. Not really considering placing the cheap chips in the drawer. That is unless I get the wheatears custom labeled? Hmmm?

Bordering on insanity!! I'm getting an additional two drawers free! The recent drawers arrived 3/32" too wide, requiring me to sand them down a bunch, and eventually re poly them too. Asked the dealer about sanding, explaining I wasn't looking for anything except advice, and they responded that they were reordering the drawers, I can keep the old ones... So I'm going to have a bank of SIX drawers!!!! At 1800 chips per drawer, I can fit 10,800 chips! Woot! The wife will be happy, I'm sure. :)
