If anyone has a high paying private sector job that's awesome! My wife's friends are mostly those people. How about the people with $40k cars when a $15k car will do. Or a $500k home when a $200k home will do. Or a $5k vacation when a $1k vacation will do. Or a $50 meal when a $10 meal will do. That’s the point I think some of the members are making.

I had to bring my own lunch to work and everyone would laugh, but I kept my nose to the grindstone.
Today’s kids don’t know how good they have it. Times were actually tough then, and they built tough men. We sacrificed everything - that’s the only way you could make it.
