I came across a Reddit thread the other day that blew my mind. Obviously this isn't a discussion most people have openly, but since we are a community and I consider this a "safe space," I'll ask it here.

When you are done taking a shit, laying cable, sending a fax, dropping the kids off at the pool, or paying the rake…

Do you wipe sitting down or standing up?

I joined the bidet world when we had our bathroom remodeled. it really is a game changer
 
I have trauma from this.

Once when I was way younger I went into the restroom at work once and pulled open a stall door. It was occupied, accident, the guy didn’t latch it good or something.
Anyway the door swung open, and here was a grown man with his pants down, standing there looking at a piece of soiled paper. It was probably the grossest, most shocking, unexpected, thing I’d ever seen.
He was looking at the paper!!!!!! I still can’t get over that.
I never could talk to that guy again.
 
I had this conversation many years ago with our truck driver. He was telling us a story about finding a small piece of poop on the bathroom floor. His sons at the time were early teens but figured it had to be one them. So he asked them how do you wipe? The son said he stands up turns around, bends over a little over the toilet then wipes. And that goes back to when he was a little kid and his mom would have him stand like that when she wiped his butt as a toddler. He never realized that should change once he could wipe his own ass :ROFL: :ROFLMAO:

I am 100% team sit down…

But I am curious @Lil Tuna what “plating” would be considered in this survey?
 
If you read the Reddit thread it’s way closer to 25/75 even 50/50. We have a lot of people today that read this forum and leaned to sit and wipe.

It’s totally from learning as a toddler and never adapting as you get older lol

WTF?

Does he pull his pants down at the urinal too?!
 
What about guys at the urinal who drop trou instead of just using their zipper? Have witnessed that a few times and am still perplexed WTF is happening.
