How's This Logo?

I took a shot at designing my own logo and I wanted to get some feedback on it. I have very little Photoshop experience, so this was a new one for me. Any feedback is appreciated.

The only thing I'd change is the color. Verde means green. That said I would change the teal to a more radiant green...but it's no biggy.

the kerning and font sizes almost make it look like you used two different fonts. i also agree with quicksilver below.

it doesn't look bad by any means - it certainly kicks the shit out of anything i could do with photoshop - but as a logo for a professional operation, i think you're probably better off sending this or other ideas to a proper designer and letting him or her show you some options.

Since your logo will probably be the first thing that your customers notice, getting some input from a pro won't hurt. God luck with the venture!

I think it's a great start. The center aces seem a little blah to me...maybe something a little flashier there?

I think the fanned cards are a little overused now a days. When designing a logo, think "would this look nice on a polo shirt, hat, shopping bag, etc?"

Also, if this is for an actual company, invest in a professional designer and use your efforts on running the business.

Also, is there a demand for another poker supplies company? So many of them have gone tits up since black friday.

May want to spell check that logo. Unless poker supples is something I don't know, but am oddly intrigued about.

Jennifer Tilly comes to mind. ;)

Ditto on the green. Some reference to the tree, even if super subtle, would be nice.

Double ditto on hiring a professional designer. Your logo will be the public face of your company, so to speak, for a long time (hopefully).

Thank you guys for the feedback. I'm working with J5 on the logo, and I fixed the "supples" mistake. ;)

I also went green on the circles. I wanted to do that in the first place but had a hard time finding the "right" green. As said before, this is just a rough draft; J5 is helping me with the fine details.

I think a lot of things in the poker world are overused IE: fanned cards, card pips, spades, etc., but I just wanted to give this a shot. It's a rough draft more than anything else.

As far as poker supply companies go, this is a way for me to build things in my workshop and try to provide people with drink carts, chip and card cases, and whatever else may come up.

I like what you're doing there and J5 is the right guy for help. Good luck with this! More poker stuff = more poker in Phoenix.

I really like this. Why not find a cool image or graphic of a Palo Verde tree and use that instead of the cards? I wonder if it would look good. You opening a poker supply store in the Valley?

Thank you. Since I'm not proficient with Photoshop all of my attempts to do anything desert themed in the middle circle have not worked well, but I'd like to do something like that. As far as the business goes, I would just be making things like tables, drink carts, card cases and chip cases in my workshop and then selling them online. For the drink carts I will build them but package them in an IKEA style, so the customer would have to do the assembly, but it would cut down drastically on the price of labor and shipping.

Looking forward to the finished product and great luck in your new venture Moscow! But I think you need to throw in a USA!USA!USA! somewhere on the design or maybe a

Maybe a palo verde tree in the shape of a spade or club for the center

i definitely agree that if you're going to use a regional identifier, you need to tie it into poker or gambling somehow to signify to the public that's what you're doing. i know the name is "palo verder poker supplies" but people have the attentions spans of gnats, so you have to be pretty immediate in communicating the product.

Ahh there's always a market for quality hand made goods. This sounds excellent.

Plus the tree could also represent the wood you use in your products. Oh I just love this idea.

Looks good. The spade tree is the perfect reference to your product.

Great concept think I'd take another pass at the tree to make the bottom curve more upwards. I'm not sure I would recognize it as a spade if I didn't know it was poker related company. the logo needs to communicate immediately without reference. great improvement though.

This looks great. maybe a little more cut up and in on the bottom where the branches meet the trunk, and a little more of a drawn out point at the top as well. this is very close though

I might rethink using "est 2014" It's usually a credit used for companies that have been around forever insinuating they are reliable and time tested. Maybe in 2024 you can add it to your logo? :) it's probably not big deal either way though as I didn't even notice it the first couple times looking at the logo, but if you got rid of it you could free up some more space for the tree/spade.
