Hi All,

I'm pretty new to the scene and have lurked here and there on the PCF. I've been wanting to build a poker table and host a home game for about a year now, and I have finally decided to start the project!

I have absolutely no woodworking, upholstering, etc experience. But I am really proud of how this turned out! Thank you anyone who has posted any guides/tips on this website because it was really helpful.

Any process you followed / tips? I don’t have a lot of experience either but if I can build one like that I would be thrilled.

Congrats it’s very nicely done.

Clean build, nice job and thanks for sharing.

You got good height on your rail - what foam and vinyl did you use?
I got those from Your Auto Trim Shop (YAT). 1" Rail foam, and the XTREME vinyl. Getting the inside of the railing was really tough, there were a few places where the vinyl ripped a little too close to the playing area. Not sure if I didn't use enough relief cuts, or if the vinyl rips a bit easier than other types.

This thread is very helpful: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/poker-table-building-guides-tips-tricks.64206/#post-2152339

I think I searched through the poker table topic on this website and a few threads were mentioning YAT (your auto trim shop). It is a great place to get foam/speed cloth if you can't find any local suppliers.

I got the building instructions from this youtube video:
I made a few modifications, since I would be putting this on top of a folding beer pong table. So I added some guide pieces of wood to keep it in place.

This turned out very nice for a first build.

Any plans on adding a betting line or some nice table toppers?

I need to pull the trigger on a build. I have the tools and love building things. Thanks for the inspiration.

Not sure if I want to add a betting line yet, I think after a few home games hosted we’ll get an idea for what feels right.

What do you mean by a table topper?

It came out really nice brother, especially for not having any experience in woodwork and upholstery.

Awesome job! Love that table, hope it brings you luck. My table is defective, it just makes my buy ins disappear
