When i first went to Las Vegas in 2009, we stayed at MGM Grand. The pokerroom was nice, but the crowd was not for us. We wanted to have fun while playing, and at there cash tables was almost no talking.

So we went to Bill's gambling hall... wow what a difference..they had 50c/1$ blinds and the staff was great.
So my number one room was Bill's
Number 2 was the monte carlo. I played tournaments there and really loved it.
Number 3 was Flamingo...

I hate to say WAS.....all three are closed. But boy do i miss them..
Which do you like to see brought back in Action??

I only played there once. But why do you say, Dare i say?? If you liked it..m :)
There's a lot of nostalgia in my heart for Planet Hollywood's poker room.. but I ran really bad there.

One trip for example, first hand after sitting down with $300 and pocket KK's, flopped a set, lost all-in on turn to a runner-runner flush. Another trip, first hand after sitting down, A7 suited all-in on the river on an AA7 flop, 7 turn, blank river, villain reveals pocket 77's. Loved to play here for some reason though I can't remember bagging a win any time I played there.

...Also, after 8pm when the music comes on, and the dancing girls come out... definitely a cool ambiance. Seeing a few celebrities walking through... I do miss playing there...

Ehh...if you had A7....flop was AA7 and the turn was also a 7......if the other player has 77, that means there are five 7-ens in the deck....

Mirage.

Every morning my buddies & I would play 3/6 from 8am-ish until lunch. The dealers were personable, friendly & remembered us even though we were only there ~12 days a year. Played with a lot of the same locals (mostly retirees) every trip & got to know them a little bit. Game was easy way to start the day & they had good promotions (AA cracked especially). Matt, the overnight poker room mgr, was a good kid. The comp rate was pretty good & I always spent it at the Carnegie deli. Also, the restroom on the other side of the main cage is one the the biggest/cleanest on the strip. If you know of a "nicer" one, let me know. I want to check it out.

I miss Mirage Poker Room every time I go back.

Call me nuts, but I miss the Luxor poker room. It was off the beaten path away from the main strip, but I enjoyed that room and environment.

If you go through there now for nostalgic purposes, you can't even tell a poker room was there. They filled the space with slot machines.

Doesn't that make five 7s, in the deck....miss deal?

I played the last night of "real card" poker at the Luxor. They were dispersing out the jackpot money and had a big wheel you'd spin, I believe it was the high hand of the hour or something. Anyhow won $300 on the wheel and left when the last running table got short handed. They said they were converting to electronic tables but I don't believe it ever happened.

This thread is sparking some fun memories.

Funny, the local CO PCF group just had this discussion the other day.

Made several trips to Vegas around the Hold’em boom, then lived in Vegas 2008-2010. I miss several rooms from that era:

MGM- was a much better room when it was next to the Centrifuge lounge. Low minimum buy-in and next to the nightclub made it a magnet for tourists on the weekends. The “scenery” leaving the club was a nice bonus. It sucks now that they moved it next to the fire exit doors.

PH- another room filled with soft tourists. I had the most casino cashes for tournaments there. Cash games were good too, especially on weekends with a big event (Super Bowl, UFC or boxing fights). Right in the center of the action and again with great “scenery”.

Mirage- many others have already mentioned that room, and the perks. I just found it to be a cool, laid-back, spacious room next to the Sportsbook.

TI- It was first in the shops, away from the casino floor. Very quiet and chill. They moved it next to the sportsbook, but still was isolated, and had 10-12 tables. Cash games weren’t great, but they had good dailies. Probably had my 2nd most cashes there, behind PH.

Caesar’s- Didn’t play there much before, and they moved it while I was living there. You used to access it via a door next to the sportsbook. You went through this tiny hallway that opened up to this huge room. They had 50-60 tables. It was very classy and I just remember the large oil paintings of great sports figures (Jordan, Ali). Completely away from the casino floor with its own bathrooms. They took the space to expand the adjacent nightclub. I really should’ve played there more, and this one is probably egregious to me.

Suncoast- This was a local casino to me, when I was living there. They had about 10-12 tables in room right next to entry, so was a little isolated from the casino floor. They only offered limit, so I only went there when I wanted stay close to home, and not think too much. They had great high hand bonuses, and lots of grey hairs, spending their retirement.
Remember it being close the the entry? The Belliago motorcycle bandit actually used it as it test run. He robbed the Suncoast PR a month or 2, before he hit his big heist at Belliagio.

Man, I really miss Vegas poker from that time!

I played on one off those machine. It just was not cool....i want chips in my hands and dont want to put my hand on a screen to look at my cards. They had 2 tables. But nobody played them, so they quickly went away.

For sure 3/6 at mirage !!!! Epic wins there

Mgm 1-2 nl during 11-5am hrs after night club people just casually played during 2000s poker boom easy money

Luxor was amazing tournament room !! Small tourny easy cashes.

Flamingo always had such a nice vibe to it. Just not as uptight or intense as some of the big rooms. Dealers always seemed cool.

When I was just looking to relax and let the cards flow at the end of the night, it was the perfect place to play.

True!! I stayed at the Flamingo and it was very chill to play at the place you stay.

Am I the only one who mis-read the title the first time?

I thought it said, "Which pokemon do you miss the most in vegas?"
