Starting a proper thread for this project now. Mike will be along and add anything I missed later.
To clarify my answers elsewhere first.......

To bring the two scroll molds into action for the first time by us requires a lot more work than a regular mold. The 44mm version needs a slug mold also so it is three molds that need setting up.
To cover our costs for that I have figured out how many chips need to be made.
For the purpose of this calculation, there is some 'trading' possible between the two sizes, so lets say
One 39mm chip = 1 unit
One 44mm chip = 1.5 units

We need a total of 7,750 units. Its not a high target, just to cover the setup will satisfy us and then we have 2 more molds up for the future.
I have requirements (color and spot samples, advertising samples etc.) outside of the Rounders project which will eat up 2,950 units
So that only leaves you all 4,800 units to hit to make this happen!!

Below is a really crude mockup showing the original artwork on the 5 original colors + 2 suggested 44mm's.
Remember, the only thing cast in stone is that the chips will be on SCROLL mold (39/44mm) and will use the original art.

YOU MAY (within reason) add denominations
YOU MAY change colors or spot patterns and choose either/both sizes (preferably a mix)
If you have an alternative design you wish to use the Scroll molds for and can meet the timescales indicated then I can include that in the numbers.

The minimum order per person will be 300 chips total as usual. I'm happy to make that 300 for the two sizes combined. Anyone who wants less or only wants sample sets only will co-ordinate this with Mike and he will tally those up like a mini group buy.
The minimum per chip will be very flexible unless you are the only person ordering a specific combo in which case I will have to deal with that case by case per usual.

In the same way as I dealt with FDL, I'm going to open a window starting right now for people to commit to this.
1. The prices will follow the table on our website as usual.
2. You need to preferably indicate your order details either here or in the other forum, and by email to me please at david.spragg@zen.co.uk
3. You need to pay a 25% minimum deposit by 24 December (4 weeks) and you will get a credit off your final invoice for 1% of that deposit.
4. You need to pay the balance by 15 January
5. If your scroll mold order is not for Rounders then I will need final art by 22 January

Unless anything comes along to change out schedule I predict we would be able to start production during February.

Nevermind...circle square. I like that one.

Is that mold available? just curious.

Oh, can we add a blue .25 cent chip too?

Yes it is generally available, but not for this project.
We can add any denoms.

I've just added 1200 units more for my own requirements, getting what we need down to 3600.

This is what I needed to see. Nice mockup! Def need a $.50 chip added.

Suggest you colors and spots for the 50c and then what will you order?

Blue with what spots?
are you going to order some?

One of these maybe? I think this mold is the closest to the roman. Just saying. :p
Yes, I'm in for a 300 chip set. Maybe more.

Its nothing to do with the mold being nearer the Roman.
it is all about the $3,000 cost to fix up the scroll molds and get them running. Without a project like this it will not happen.
Mike came up with this 5 months ago so everything is geared to it :)

Get-Er-Done! The blue w/ white and the blue w/ dark blue I like the most.

it will be much better with white.

Im tempted to add the 50c in yellow or orange with black spots.

Maybe someone could add those two to the mockup. (On the correct mold please) :)

Blue with white is a must for the quarter IMO although I am leaning more towards a 314 or 214 spot for the chip to break up the spots and because it is a fractional. Hell, I'm even thinking of a solid quarter. Anyone have thoughts on a solid quarter?

I am thinking about a 44mm $100 chip but wouldn't order that many. It may help with numbers so I am flexible.

I am in, just need to finalize my breakdown, 800-1000 is what I'm leaning towards

The quarter could be same purple as $500 just with no spots. Just sayin... I'm really on the fence with this GB... I don't need any more chips... I don't I don't.

In for 400 x 39mm and at least 30 x 44mm. Still working out breakdown, but it will a tourney set with the original colors.

Denoms are going to be
$5
$25
$100
$500
$1000 (oversize)
$5000 (oversize, may tweak the colors on this one)

This will delay the purchase of my own custom set by around 6-12 months, but I feel this a historic set on a historic mold.
Thanks for the opportunity David
Hopefully be able to shoot you an email later today

I can do that, do you know the which font is used for the denom? Maybe a better pic of the bear would help too.

$0.50 vs. $.50 vs. 50¢ which spelling do you prefer?

I will get you the art later.

Not perfect as the font is not 100% on top row but it should do for this exercise.
Can you take them from here?

Try 25c 214 blue / white
50c 314 yellow / black

.25 with 3 spots would be cool.

Either way put me down for:

120 x .25
120 x $1
40 x $5
20 x $25

If i had not just recently put a reasonable sized order in with you i would be very interested in this.
