Animal House - the newly renovated poker room is now complete with the arrival of the new table. (2 Viewers)

I love this setup! Congrats on the table. The attention to detail is evident. Also, those chairs are REALLY going to make the night pleasant.
Tempur pedic base. Maximum buttocks cushioning.

Last night disaster struck! Actually, it wouldn’t be the animal house, if the animals were not sh*tting all over the place.

One of my guests, we will call him squirrel X, decided to make himself a cup of coffee (unbeknownst to me). However, because squirrel X is not too bright, he decided to by-pass the insulated coffee cups (and lids), and go for a red solo cup. He then proceeds to by-pass the multiple side tables and his cup holder (right in front of him by the way) and rest his cup on the rail. Of course, I say “hey squirrel, get the f*cking cup off the rail before it spills”. Well, you can imagine the rest, the red solo cup is now pipping hot (probably melting), He goes to grab it, gets startled cause it so hot, and promptly dumps it all over the table and my chips (of course he is chip leader)……. Awesome!

Enter the little green PET pro (a must to clean up after the squirrels) …..1/2 hour later and , the felt looks as good as new. Now that I think about it, I am not sure if this is really a plug for big slik’s resilient felt or the pet pro, but I am certainly glad that the coffee stain is gone. The felt looks as good as new.

Thanks again Eric (@1enick72) for an awesome table! It’s good to know that even the toughest of stains will come out!

How are the chips?

So, as some of you already know, when fedex delivered my table they ran a fork lift into the base. Bad beat!

Eric dealt with fedex and built me a new base, which has sat in my basement until now (mostly because I was waiting for my son to come home from school to help with the transfer).

Tonight was the night for the big transfer. As I am not the most handy person, this probably took a lot longer than it would have if some of you handy types had to do this, but I think everything came out okay (which basically means no significant damage, no left over part and everything seems to work). After completing this project, I have even more respect for those that build tables. Look how many tools I used! However, the table is now complete (with a darker felt too). Let’s goooo!

Serious bad beat on the damage for sure, but the end result after the repair looks fantastic!

May it host many great games in your (and it's) future!

(Don't feel too bad about the full array of tools... I find myself doing very similar things with any projects I'm working on. Easier to have them all available rather than having to hunt for or go get what you need.)
