Hi all, just a quick friendly warning for new members joining the site in search of a cheap poker set. I joined PCF about a year and a half ago after lurking for a bit as I was interested in buying a small majestic cash set and small Milano tourney set. I now have neither of these things but do have a 800+ HSI Paulson RHC cash set, a small super poker world micro cash set and am currently looking at a 800+ chip customised tourney set. I also have 30+ dealer buttons, 30+ cut cards and 10+ card set ups from various companies not to mention a drawer full of samples. It's not just a rabbit hole, it's a whole warren. Don't say you have not been warned!

there should be a big disclaimer like this bolted to the front of the website with a link to a really reputable retailer like BRPoker or the stock stuff from CPC and a "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here." after it. Basically 'these are really good and what we would recommend, you don't need to dive into this stuff, in fact, save yourself and stay away!

I ended up spending $12,000+ USD in less than a year... that's still less than some of you spend on one cash set, so I'm one of the lucky ones. AND, I'm actually finished my collection. Is there a way to get banned from JUST the classifieds? Kinda like the politics forum?

New members don't listen to this junk. I have been around for a bit and my chip expenditures are still below $1800. The trick is to get samples, and I mean TONS of samples. When you get it right the first time you save A LOT of money.
I upgraded from dice chips to a set of 400 Monaco Casino and 300 Outlaw slugged chips from DPS in late September and joined PCF around the same time. In 6 months, I've obtained ~600 Jack Cincinnati chips, ~1,000 New China Club cards mold chips, and a few racks of random chips, and a couple racks' worth of samples and singles.
[Edit: And ~2,200 China clay chips, both spirit mold and 8Vs. Can't believe I forgot...]
I've also gotten ~20 dealer buttons.
And ~20 individual decks of playing cards.
And ~15 playing card setups.
And a table topper.
And a @$%#$^ horse racing game.

Sometime we need to let some go in order to have room for more in the future
It kinda pity that the chipset just sit in the closet and never get use, so I figure it better to let it go
I hate trimming down as much as I hate folding.
